Oooh Do I Love Headphones :)

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 10:40 pm

REMEMBER: All of these can be heard from the standard TV stereos as well, but requires more volume or adjusting the audio options in-game.

-When using the restoration spell you can hear your heart thumping, or when your health becomes low enough.
-The background noise is a totally different experience, test for yourself :)
-If you thought the music was already good enough and epic, i dare you to plug in a pair of headphones = speechless.....
-When you equip a spell into your hand, you can hear the spell "tingling" as it moves in your hand. For example, when you equip a spark/lightning spell, you can hear the spell making tiny "spark" noises and electrical noises.
-When a wolf attacks you (bites you), you can hear the mouth gurgling from the saliva, very neat.
-Footsteps sound much more clear.
-You can hear a waterfall from a mile away.
-Get scared of trolls (not the internet kind).
-Hear as the undead skeletons' bones creak when they walk towards you.
-Get scared of Draugrs.
-General speech sounds a lot better (talking, chatting).
-You'll love "Rognar the Red" after this :P
-Enemies sound like "enemies", meaning dark, moody, sinister.
-Shouts sound amazing!
-Black Door: "What is the Music of Life"..... "Welcome Home" (Entrance to the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary) scares the daylights out of you! Try it! :)
-The sound of "slow-mo" stabbing a sword through an enemy's chest is jaw-dropping, same with chopping someone's head off.
-You'll want to avoid dragon fights..............

Enjoy! And don't miss out on this opportunity.

Yes, but you are not a Complete Skyrim die hard (or nerd) unless you use Viking Skull Candy headphones.

you better. First time entering the black door seriously scared the f*** outta me. Keep your headphone volume on high when doing this for best results :) Remember this varies from console to console (PC to PC). AND the quality of your headphones affects too. I personally use AKG high-end headphones, but normal priced gaming headphones deliver amazing results.

I never play any game without my trusty Fatal1ty headsets and CMSS-3D. The audio is pretty damned good in this game.

I went to headphone proprieties and put it into max volume and quality... putting more tune to the low tones.. i mean the booms and stuff like that..

I also checked the square that enables a surround hometheater type in the headphone and also enabled a option that removes the noises of the background IRL.. I just tried into an youtube video, man it looks AWESOME !

Sounds very promising, just make sure that the sound is clear. Experiment, adjusting the low tones is not a bad or a good thing, its about preference. I'd personally choose not to use low tones more. Watch out for hearing damage :) BTW put the in-game music a tad bit lower, well that's what i recommend. Change HUD opacity, take off pointer and take off general dialogue subtitles = Better immersion IMO.

When i play the game, i'll take a look about the low tones, if i let it enabled or not..

And yes you are right, gotta watch out for hearing damage...

I just can't disable the Subtitles, because English isn't my first language, so sometimes i gotta read to understand.. :o

I'm thinking I should wear headphones as well. I have 2 living rooms on the main floor and my parents and siblings are always squabbling on the other end I can only hear the music and NPC's talk. I must be missing all the little things which I'd love to hear.

Go to Whiterun next to the well in the center of the market place. You can hear water running down there.
