Like a moron, I jumped into an extremely deep body of water in my power armor and of course I went all the way to the bottom. I eventually had to eject and swim to the top. Is there any way to retrieve it? I know I could load a previous save but I really like to play where any and all decisions I make are final, no re-dos. I jumped in there and now I have to figure something out.

The only thing I can think of is that I can get each piece but then I'd have to find a new frame somewhere.

Why didn't you just walk out of the water? Did the power run out?

I couldn't. It was in an EXTREMELY deep body of water that didn't have a ramp or shore.

Yep. It was a total bone-head move. I actually can't even find it now when I swim down. The water is DEEEEP.

I think that is your only option, really.

By the way, this is hilarious. But I'm glad you can't swim in Power Armor like in Fallout 3.

I know. I think it's hilarious too. I sat there outside the water just thinking to myself, "well, dang it."

If you mean the excavation site where you need to turn valves, the guide says that it is drained once you get to level 12. However, it also gets inhabited by enemies, so if you can, I would try to find it and at least grab the Fusion Core; otherwise, you might find someone using it against you when you come back.

I know where another power suit is for the taking, rather close to the vault 111 and the settlement.

That would be a violation of my "rules." I play where I never reload or use the console to get a better outcome.

Why not just get in the power armor and fast travel (to the marker for your current location)?
