Open City

Hi. I know that there have been mods that open up all the cities, but I'm only interested in one for now - Leyawiin, and I want to open it up in my current mod.

My plan (not done yet because Id like some advice) was to remove the gates on the exterior of Leyawiin and copy the interior cells across. Is this all there is to it, or are there other issues to consider.

The reason for wanting this city open is simple enough - I have the entrance to my own worldspace nearby and Id like a free-er interaction between the city guards in Leyawiin and my own, without the need for traveling through gates all the time.

Is this a straight forward thing, or is it likely to be a much larger undertaking than I imagine?

cheers

Open Cities (Classic at least) is modular - you can just install the unit for the city you want. And yes, there are a lot of other considerations, like AI packages for anyone who wanders around the town, scripts for activators, etc. I'm finding it's not easy just using OC, doing all the work it does as well as our own would be too much!
