An Open Letter to Enthusiasts

It's one thing to share your ideas but it's another to practically demand they be put into games. And Yes, I mean demand; if you're posting 37 reasons why some feature should be included in this new game, it's more than a suggestion or a show of ideas. Stop clogging this forum with you're dork-like fantasies and let Bethesda do what they do.

Have any of you suggestion posting pimpled headed people ever even tried to mod something? You would realize just how much thought it really takes to put a mechanic in that is not littered with thought process faults. To be a game designer you need an incredible amount of problem solving and just because something sounds really cool at first thought doesn't mean it's necessary or practical.

Sorry to be so blunt about it but I just can't believe the sheer number people saying "THEY SHOULD BE THIS IN THE GAME BECAUSE I THOUGHT OF IT AND IT'S A WAY GOOD IDEA!! DURR DURR"

/rant.

I don't demand, but I have plenty of ideas, and I'll keep posting them whenever I feel like it because I feel like it. Do I have to? Will they listen to them and put them in? No. But I do it anyway, because it's fun.

Also, I tend to put in a fair amount of thought into my ideas and I almost never suggest a feature purely because it is cool.

You call this a rant? It's just butthurt. Level your speech skill and maybe you can sway an opinion, rather than come off as an idiot.

I guess I wasn't talking to you then was I?

Only someone who had a pimple face would get upset :o

Just kidding.

I suppose people who posted their suggestions will indeed feel upset about my post, I guess you calling me an idiot is your way of signaling this to me.

Lay off the guy, he has a decent point. Do people think their ideas can alter the game at this point in its development? Its a bit late, no?

Sadly, yes. That's why we still get suggestion threads.

On one hand I totally agree. Especially when I read a post and it's some incredibly dumb, unrealistic idea that they're practically demanding.

However on the other hand, I did the same thing once, asking for the quest marker on the compass to be toggle-able (still want it). :D

As an asside, I like to read, so when I heard 'rant' I got excited, expecting a 2 page long rant, spewing out words. I was dissapointed. :P

Don't really see any point in letting this stay open. If people want to post suggestions, that's fine.
