I'm off, and here's why:

First let me tell you how much I enjoyed this game. I've said in other posts that IMO this is the best FPS I've ever played. Graphics, storyline, loadouts, levelling system and matchmaking all seem superb comnpared to the competition.

Thing is, for the last week I've been on vacation, and was looking forward to some foucsed MP gaming. But, since I've reached level 10, it's really hard to stay on the network. Usually it drops just as the "game over" brackets start to come together - in which case my XP and any other bonuses are not saved. It seems that once I get into a game where I can complete then I can stay in the game for ages, but it's too rare to be statistically meaningful.

I've contacted EA and they suggested that I might try some fiddling which I did, and that appeared to work for a short time, but since it was things like browser cookies, and I never use my PS3 for surfing, it seems that was a false dawn.

Then I thought about it and wondered why, when I'm only level25 am I ranked in the top 20k in the world out of 400k. The reason seems obvious to me. I have time on my hands and can use it to try & liaise with distributors to try and find a fix, but I do not fit the demographic for the game (I am over 50 FFS), and most younger or more targeted players would not be bothered. They will just move on to the next FPS- and there's no shortage right now.

Oh, and please don't say it's PSN, 'cos KZ3 & BlOps work just fine (network wise in MP). And also don't think I'm just throwing my toys out of the pram- the game itself is fantastic & I would love to stay. I just don't want to spend 2/3 of my gaming time watching load screens.

So, it is with deep and sincere regret, that I am off to try Brink. I will check up in a from time to time, but my MO is such that I usually don't bother coming back.

lol You're off to try Brink!? You know that isn't fixed yet, right? I'm getting that when its price has dropped, and its fixed.

Homefront runs well for me now that Kaos fixed it. I like Homefront.

Thanks hypertails. Must admit, just tried Brink and it's VERY weird. Kinda reminds me of Duke Nukem on the PS1. I'll try homefront.
