Open Two GECK's

Is there some way to make it so that you can have the NV version of the GECK open at the same time as the FO3 version of the GECK? Some setting somewhere or anything?

The settings need to go into GECKCustom.ini as with Fallout3, though the multiple editors line:

bAllowMultipleEditors=1

If you put the fallout3.exe in the fallout NV folder you can open fallout 3 mods in the NV geck and save them. Then you can change their master to FalloutNV.exe with FNVedit. If that's what you are trying to do, copy from another mod.

OK, I've got my Fallout3.exe in the same directory as FalloutNV.exe, but my mods won't open in the FNV Geck. Any suggestions? They show up in the list but just won't open.

Depending on what the mod does, you may need to alter it in FNVedit. You'll definitely need to edit it so that FalloutNV is the master, not Fallout3. That will allow the FNV GECK to open most mods.

What I do is open the fo3 mod in the new geck as the only esp, don't select other esps that rely on FalloutNV. It should open fine then. Once it is loaded you can save the file and close the geck. Next open the new esp in FNVedit and change the master file to FalloutNV.exe in the header info area, save and exit. Now the file should load in the new geck using the FalloutNV.exe. Save it again once you have it open, and edit away...
