I'm just wondering all of the different strengths and weaknesses of the Operative Class.

Can disguise
Can hack enemy turrets
Can firewall friendly command posts
Can spot landmines
Can spot enemy disguised operatives
Can probably One hit or two hit backstab
Probably others we're not aware of as of yet. Or I'm forgetting something.

This Website has all the info that's known as of yet: http://www.fragworld.org/frag/community-blogs/brink-info-pt-1-story-gameplay-smart-classes-and-objectives.html

Well thanks. Is there anything else? I heard that the Operative, when combined with a small body size, can jump higher and move faster than every other character. Other than Operatives of the same caliber.

That's correct, but it counts for every class.

Basically, you have classes (Soldier, Medic, Operative, Engineer) and you have bodytype (Light, Medium, Heavy)

While you create a character, you have to chose a bodytype. This cannot be changed during a match.
Bodytypes affect: Movement speed, Freedom of movement. Amount of Ability pips (Represents how many times you can use your abilities in rapid sequence), Amounth of health, Primary weapons, Secondary weapons, Hitboxes.
The Lighter you go, the more movement speed and freedom you have and the smaller your hitbox is. You will have less health, less choice of weapons,... I think you get the point. It's all covered in that link as well.
Classes can be switched during a match (It's very easy and important). You need the different classes to do different objectives.

Any class can be combined with any bodytype.

On a completely unrelated note: That guy in the http://thymanrdworld.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/586_brink_ifitbleeds.jpg is pretty much what I want my main character to look like on the Resistance side.

Nope. That one I linked had some postprocessing going on.

Clearly some improved/generally added depth of field to cover the clunky fingers. And I believe the contrast/lighting has been improved afterwards as well.

Judging from class abilities, heavy characters do this.

Operative: Early defense from covert attacks (detection stuff gives early warnings, hacking/emp neutralises turrets before team gets pinned down long enough to be outpositioned)
Soldier: Reaction defense from overt attacks (meatshield)
Engie: Early defense from overt attacks (try getting past this thing)
Medic: Reaction defense from covert attacks (How to get facefull of lead: attempt OHK stab on anti-OHK health buffed guy)

So, it seems operative aint just for Lights.

We're aware that heavy operatives will probably be really effective.

Heck heavy anything will be effective. As will light and mediums. None are better than the others its the players that make all the difference.

Couldn't it just be an updated build on max settings for PC?

Lightweight Operatives will actually be able to jump higher and move faster than others. The guy who created the guns, Chris something, said that himself.

Light players of any class will have the same jumping ability.

Light players in general, will be able to run faster and have more vertical mobility, no matter what class they play. It isn't strictly an Operative thing.

Bodytypes and classes are 2 separate things.

i heard rumors (dont quote me on this but i believe it was on fragworld somewhere) that operatives could play dead and had access to a kind of self destruct when they were down
and i believe they gleaned that information from handson gameplay soo
