i like my light type with a gotlung, it looks dumb as heck, plus operatives are the weakest class i only use it when i HAVE to cause bots svck at life

I love playing my light body Operative, but I find myself hacking comms way more than disguising. It's probably a tie between him and my Heavy Medic for my favorite.

well at best operative should be a secondary class cause it has no redeeming quality other than hacking and kiling not team oriented at all

The emp grenade can make it hell for the enemy to finish their objectives though, but they are also meant to fill the role of messing with the enemy team. If the class gets overplayed by a team though, then you start to get a problem.

Mine is a mix of Op/Med Just because I can have both of them played as light... I have created a medium account for only Eng/universal abilities and will make a heavy for pure soldier/universal :P

Disguise, Hack Turret, Spot Mine, Caltrop Grenade, Sticky Grenade (I'm getting better at this), Comms Hack (is the enemy flanking), Firewall Objective (with Upgrade cross class) - these are all excellent abilities in my opinion and all support the team by making the enemy weaker and us stronger with subterfuge, information and bonuses.

Operative is my Primary in my dual-skill character.

I voted as my Signature. I find it to be an effective flanking build. You can do a lot of damage from a decent distance with the rifle, you can get up to places others can't (obviously), and have the ability to run away to a different spot for whatever reason faster than anyone else. I voted that I disguise about twice a match, more than that and I find people start to catch on, so I use it sparingly. I usually only disguise when I think I can break up a strong defensive group with a Sticky, or if there's a 'Retrieve' objective because you can usually stroll in and spot people waiting for your team to be in enough force to do a runner.

The turret abilities and Comms Hack make for great defense, and caltrop grenades are probably the most useful tool for slowing the enemy down that you can use other than a gun.

However, without a strong Secondary the Operative class is a bit selfish and a team of the best Operatives would never beat a balanced team (forgetting about objectives, of course).

yep there's a right way and a wrong way to fulfill the role of a characters class, and having a team of fellas that each knows their role in the match helps alot in winning as well. I like to switch things up and try different roles throughout matches sometimes, just to get a different perspective on the particular map being played at the time.

I love Operatives, definitely my favourite, but Medic's close behind, and Soldier's also pretty cool. Odd that I love everything except what people claim is the "best" - I'm a $#&% Engineer.

I prefer my Operative to be Light, but I can use them at any body size, and appreciate the value of Medium and Heavy Ops. As a Light, I don't get the option of a Shotgun, and tend to prefer SMG/MP (although swapping the MP out for a well-modded Sea Eagle is pretty fun - Sniper pistol FTW!)

When I'm Medium or Heavy, I'll always have the Mossington on-hand, usually paired with some form of SMG as Medium, and with a Heavy-exclusive if I'm big enough to take it.

As for Disguise, I tend to treat it as an opportunity thing - if it's available and likely for me to get away with it, I'll do it. Sometimes I'll practically feel like I'm abusing Disguise, but at other times I won't touch it the whole match. Voted "Thrice" for two reasons: 1. It's probably about accurate as an average, and 2. They did a good cover of "Send Me An Angel" (totally irrelevant, but whatever).

My brother says Heavy Ops are amazing. I've yet to try Op at all yet though, although this new character I could see split between Engie and Op. He's a pure light Engie now... hmm.

When I do respec to Operative I use light body (duh), my load out is Revolver as my run'n'gun
weapon and the glitched on Chinzor so I can get up high and lay down suppresing fire if needed.
I focus on hindering enemy defense mostly, Hack coms, followed by Disguise, while disguised
I spot mines and mark enemys from a corner (to minimize chances of meeting my evil twin :slap: )
and then I take mental notes on Turrets in the area, and then I hack those, get caught in the act,
self destruct, rinse, repeat.

Side Note: Its always fun to ninja in and plant a remote on a friendly engineer's turret (we all know how they baby those things)
and they set up behind it feeling like they've got this area under lockdown and suddenly their precious turret whips
around and starts shooting smiley faces in the ground at their feet. lmao :rofl:

Ya aint it sad that two people are bragging about their weapon exploits as if its cool. I love running into medium/ light people with a gotlung or chinzor because those guns svck compared to my SMG and I mow them down the same way I do a heavy with the same weps lol.

Small fix needed as you cannot equip a Heavy weapon as a secondary.

I won't even use a Gotlung on my Heavy. Good to know there is a Light that will be easy to kill instead of all those CARB-9 users that give me grief. Spin that thing up and walk nice and slow for me.
