My opinion, that you don't care about.

This is for everyone who complains about how bad the Call of Duty franchise is. I agree with you that the games svcked after the first two, and yes, it's a bad franchise. It's terrible, but that's the point. Activision isn't making their subsidiaries (Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer) make the next great game, they are purposely releasing garbage games every year. But that's okay, a game can be terrible, and yet still have some enjoyment. Prime examples of this are Modern Warfare 2 and StarCraft II, both games are absolutely terrible, yet they both have their moments (well SC2 doesn't really have any moments, since Kotick really ruined that game when Activision had a merger with Blizzard). I think the Call of Duty games should come out every year. The Call of Duty games are like car models, they release a new one every year, even if they've only changed a few things. But that's okay, because a few new things is usually an improvement over nothing changed (except for in the case of StarCraft II which is universally hated by fans of the original game for a reason; it svcks, they dumbed it down, they ruined custom map making, region restrictions, no LAN, internet required for single player, Battle.net 2.0 being worse than the original Battle.net, micro-transactions, Nazi-like custom map moderation, etc.), but Call of Duty games are supposed to be garbage, like I said. They are meant to be guilty pleasures. So please, Activision, don't stop throwing out one or two a year, in fact, please keep it up, because I don't care about how bad Call of Duty is, I, like most people, will buy it anyway.

So... Your point? You want Activision to keep releasing crap games because you enjoy playing them?

Forgive me for finding that a little strange.

You do know this is Bethesda correct, and in no way associated with Activision.

I can see the enjoyment some people would get out of them and I agree that it's wrong for people to openly critisize others for being "casual gamers" or some rubbish like that, but isn't this thread just flame-bait to start an argument between CoD-ers and non-CoDers? Even the title and description are argumentative.

I am not sure that making a topic complaining about complainers is a good idea. However, we will see how it goes.

I guess millions of people buy garbage games? Hmmm well it is your opinion people are liking it even though there is other great games in the FPS genre COD is still good for millions of people including me . Heck I want Black Ops more than New Vegas . Kotick has a ok-good ideas to get money off of video games . One word Kotick is all about the money and in that sense he thinks right about most things except paying for cut scenes. In popularity with the gamers Kotick is not well liked. If I was an investor I would like Kotick's ideas and support him .

I'm not so sure. As a short-term investment it could be worth it, but I'm not entirely convinced it's the best long-term strategy.

True True I would invest right now , but give a few years I might sell the stock if I owned any stock of Activision .

CoD was absolute crap after CoD 4. StarCraft is still good. I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. You acknowledge the fact that the games are crap, but you like the fact they are absolute crap? Sure, go ahead and buy them. No one is saying you can't buy that game.

Meh, Treyarch is the only company putting out CoD games I don't enjoy. I definitely couldn't afford a new game every year. My MW2 disc was eaten by my Xbox last year, and I still haven't re-purchased it. I probably won't ever buy it since the price of XBL is going up.

Treyarch is basically Gray Matter, and they did Call of Duty: United Offensive, which is probably my favorite title in the series (yeah, it's an expansion, I don't care). I enjoyed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as well; I thought the singleplayer was pretty decent, as was the multiplayer.

I disagree about StarCraft II as well; I wouldn't say it was "dumbed down", the level of micromanagement is about the same. I don't like the idea of hard counters (I think all units should be at least moderately effective in most capacities rather than specialist units), but the first game had some of those too.

Treyarch are the best FPS producer. I hate FPSs but if you like them play them.

I don't know what you're talking about, I've never played SC but I thought MW2 was loads of fun. Sounds like your just trolling.

Well, we thought we would give this a try, as a moderator noted earlier on, but since some members start throwing around accusations of trolling - which is a flame, since it is frequently used to try and shut someone down in an argument - I guess it's time to close this.
