» Mon Dec 26, 2016 12:24 pm Today I am gonna share my opinion on the civil war that may change your mind about which side your for. I know people will disagree with some of the things I am saying here but its just my opinion.
Now, some of the reasons why I dislike the Rebellion
1. King King Torygg greatly respected Ulfric and would follow him if he asked him to. However, Ulfric decided to challenge Torygg just for the sake of becoming high king. Torygg knew that he couldn't deny the challenge because it was part of nord tradition. Torygg knew he would die for Ulfric was a great warrior and Torygg wasn't even close to his strength. Still, Torygg knew he wouldn't go to Sovngard if he denied so he was forced to.
2. The empire was forced to make a treaty with the high elves otherwise the slaughtering would keep going on. Skyrim valued talos, but would it really be worth it for skyrim to be slaughtered just so they could keep talos. (And if their all dead they defiantly wont be worshiping) So Skyrim thought it would be nice to blame themselves and start a war against themselves. When all this time fighting could be used to squash the elves or you could just enjoy the peace against the elves. And even if like a couple years later the elves decide to go too far we can just kill all the elves in skyrim which are not that many. And then finish the elves.
Here's some reasons to join the Imperials
1. The empire is skyrim so when you join the rebellion you are basically fighting against your own country.
2. The imperials end up fighting the elves anyway.
3. The legion has hundreds of years of experience, while the rebellion just started recently
4. The legion is under protection by the high elves. However, if you join the rebellion you have no one to back you up but the storm cloaks anyone could come down and slaughter you.
