Opinion of Wood Elves : V

My main character will be a Wood Elf, I just wonder what the rest of the community thinks of them. When I look at the character polls I see, it seems like they're usually among the lowest that's chosen. Why is that?

I'm short in real life, and I've always considered myself a fan of nature ... I relate with them

The popular low opinion of wood elves is because Bethesda went out of their way to engender that feeling. They make every crazy or otherwise pathetic character a wood elf. Glarthir, Fargoth, Annoying Fan, etc... To which I say fribble, just fribble.

That is not to say that I do not like wood elves. They are one of my favorite races. My favorite ES character is a wood elf in fact.

All elves are fail. Well... the redneck, trailer trash elves in Monster Hunter International are an exception (and Orcs! :wub: ).

im glad bethesda took there design seriously for this game now i wont be ashamed everytime i pass by one when i play as my wood elf provided they dont all act and sound like a race of jesters

They Skyrim ones creep me out really bad. I might just have to kill any of them I see in the wild tbh.

Its those eyes, those beady black eyes creep the hell out of me. They look like serial killers/cannibalizes like they are supposed to be.

If I see someone with those eyes coming at me in the wild, they are done......I will not be a meal.

My main character in Oblivion was a Wood elf ranger and he finished all the guilds quest, Shivering isles, Knights of the Nine, and most of the main quest. He was about level 40 when the xbox hd he was stored on died, that was a very sad day. This Wood elf was my best character every. He could stealthfully follow a guard around in the middle of a city with a light spell cast on himself, and not been seen, it was amazing!

Most of them are annoying. Maglir, thoronir, Adoring fan, and that traitor from the Oblivion fighter's guild were all annoying. It seems like the most annoying and displeasing characters in the E.S. universe have all been wood elves. However, on the whole, they're pretty cool. They have some pretty cool lore too.

I plan on making a wood elf ranger (that is, if I don't make a Dark Elf ranger instead).

They look, just plain epic in Skyrim, it would take me about a hour to make the guys look somewhat decent in Oblivion, but now, just Awesome, one of them is going to be my Treasure Hunter!
