Not my words, but just do a quick google search of Roman Emperors.
Julius Caesar was also a ruler of Rome, but he ruled as a dictator, not an emperor.
Since the Romans did not want one man to make all of the laws, they decided to balance the power of the government between three branches: the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judicial branch."
You being a history major are undoubtedly more knowledgeable on the topic of the Romans and history in general (I went to school for graphic design), however Rome had many stages of government and I think back to my previous point that skipping a stage in restoring civilization would be a grave mistake.
Furthermore, Caesar was more or less elected as the leader of the Legion because he showed the tribals how to survive. It's not like he walked into a jungle and was like "you're all going to do what I say or I'm going to kill you"
Since the government and politics are a hot issue, as myself and Brother Hood have been going over the past 2-4 pages, I'm not sure what else to add to this debate to tell you, besides, my opinion is what is is based off of the knowledge that we know, and we don't know enough to debate to a point of which faction is better than the other based upon their principles, if you want to debate who has cooler armor, then we have more than enough material to work with.
