Opinions about the NCR : Fallout: New Vegas

I want to know what everyone thinks about the NCR, i know a bit of their history like

How they want to restore order and bring back democracy and old school laws. I know that they're in war with caesars legion for control of the mojave region.

Any additional information would be helpful. Thanks.

They abuse their citizens and can barely enforce their own laws. They're cut off from the rest of the NCR back in California.

They've (from what we know so far) have become an impotent band of feces flinging monkeys, as all governments do at some point. So I hate them, didnt use to, now there not doing there job, time to die. I'll be going with Ceaser's legion. :flamethrower:

So in your opinion, do you think they would be a good candidate to "rule" the mojave region. Even though they aren't structured very well, do you think their general objective is still good?

From what I know the CL isn't that much better. They get the job done but they do it harshly. Crucifixion, killing peoples families to convince them do things, slavery, etc.

So in your opinion, do you think they would be a good candidate to "rule" the mojave region. Even though they aren't structured very well, do you think their general objective is still good?

Maybe the full NCR in California but these guys look like they're struggling to do anything right. You don't have to pick them. You don't have to pick CL either. You could pick House if you want. Or you could decide nobody is fit to rule. All are viable options.

But do you think, even though they can't control their men, and women possibly, and really have no structure or obedience they could still possibly follow through with bringing order and all the laws back into the mojave region. I'd like a non-bias opinion, Because i know Caesars Legion has it's benefits as well, but they're slavers and they're apparently killing people to get what they want?

I don't think it fits the description of the spoiler forum because even though there may be spoilers, a lot of people already know whats going to be said in this thread.
It's a general discussion about the NCR, but i like to warn people before reading that they may see someone post something that ruins it for everyone, but of course theres a chance of that happening anywhere. :sadvaultboy:

Yes, they're struggling but in my opinion i'd rather be with a faction that has a greater cause but struggling to achieve it, then with people who get what they want by killing, torture, and force.

as for Mr. House, from what i know he doesn't care about any greater cause, he just wants to run vegas and make his money.
Maybe being alone is a better choice.

I know this, I've never played with bad karma my first time through so I decided I'm going to this time. Also, not all slavers are complete d bags. I'm a friendly slaver!!!!!! : D :hugs:

And if I dont do that, Ill just kill everybody and take control. If you want something done right, youve got to do it yourself.

Hopefully they have the option to choose a minor faction to rule New Vegas. Just imagine the Strip run by the Kahns.
Of course, if that were the case I'd choose the BoS. They've never really annoyed me like the NCR did.

I'm hoping that's a possibility, from what i've heard theres many smaller more-minor factions. If i could choose to side with one of them (assuming they meet my requirements) i will. If not, NCR looks like my next option (personal opinion)

Very True. To be honest with you, i may decide to do this alone and have strong speech kill, but wouldn't think twice about taking off your head :gun:

It kind of goes against me wanting to join the NCR, and has more of a CL feel to it, but this way i wont be restricted to following his orders.

My opinion? Caesar's Legion is going to have to start mass producing those crosses they're so fond of. That's my opinion.

Anyway, I'm not siding with them, they preach that they are doing good and bringing democracy, but in the end they're doing this for their own good.
At least Caesars legion is honest about it

NCR are really anol. Guards everywhere, constantly watching you, waiting for you to slip up. Additionally, its bureaucratic system is laden with corruption.

Of course, they do keep their citizens safe and hate slavery.

Safe? right, with their numbers spread so thin over their lines which they can't protect, the common people outside of the strip are hardly well protected.
