Both. Im not bored with the forum itself, not at all. Concerning the news, Im not sure. With the lack of info, the next game is almost only a title, but Id rather wait a long time for an awesome and polished game. And Im used to waiting so its not really a problem.

No- but I have been here for the long haul anyway. And I spend most of my time in the CD and Fan Fic areas, which are still quite active.

I don't come to these forums for new, I come here to lurk like anerd with no life.

Besides that I want bethesda to take as long as they need with whatever they work on to keep producing good games.

My sentiments, but without the no life part.

Not particularly.
It's not like every time I log onto BGSF I anxiously await news for TES:V. It'll come when it's ready; be patient.

Some of us are not so hype driven. Every time I followed hype, even a little, it lead to disappointment and resentment of the community, for it demanded too much and become the biggest [censored]ers I had seen. I stopped going to the BioWare forums, because the amount of [censored]ing became too staggering, that I had to leave before I was flamed out of there. Hell most of the [censored]ing was almost always knee-jerk, followed by insults, trolling, and other filth I try to avoid.

In the end, this is the only forum, besides the old time guild forum I frequent, that I come to nowadays, and it's not for hype driven fads.

Man, I remember the hype of the pre-Oblivion-release days. Here's hoping we don't see the same things from TES:V's announcement to its release...

I think that sums up my take on this pretty much perfectly :)

The forums do get boring after a while, mostly because there are barely any interesting discussions anymore and, after a while, you simply blew out most improvement ideas you had.
From time to time there's still a interesting point that comes up but those are few and far between.

Voted no. Been burned too many times by pre-advanced game hype to pay much attention to it anymore. As for the forums, I don't visit everyday, so there's always new stuff to read when I do visit.

ThatOneGuy hit the nail on the head. You're waiting on something that you have no idea of when it will arrive. Not a single one of us do. It could be Monday or it could be a whole year from now. Or more! If you're upset by the lack of news then it's best to just put the next Elder Scrolls game out of your head completely. Don't fixate on it so much. There are other games to play and other things to do. Besides, it's not like there's nothing to look forward to. We have two(!) Elder Scrolls novels on the way! :)

Having said that, I voted "Yes." The lack of news I can deal with, but the conversation here is cyclical and tiresome and grew stale long ago.

Yes this makes total sense. But when Bethesda actually says they're making TES 5 or the date I want it totally in the blue . I want to be watching tv and a commercial pops with the date it's coming out and then I will freak out !

I don't mind waiting around for the next TES. There's a lot of recent mod material out there to try in the mean time. Besides, the last time Bethesda released a TES game, I was anxiously awaiting the next RP miracle game, and we got a borderline FPS instead.

Well, it is not boring here. Every time there s something to discuss or some such, but yes, sometimes I wish there were more news. At least some hard evidence that TES V is being worked on. So far we know the "ultimate maybe", which is a bit frustrating. I understand that the devs do nto want to be pushed. That is nice, but there is a wide scale between telling the exact release date and saying nothing. Either of these poles is quite bad, but there is the option of saying (without contradiction for once) that TES V is in development and so far we have this and that. That IMHO woud be nice.

Sort of? it really varies from section to section, as well as what I'm in the mood to talk about. For example, in this section, if I want to talk about TES in general or fun stuff that I'd like to see in TESV, I'm fine. But when I actually want to think about the future of the series as a whole, yes because there's nothing to go on. The RP forum is consistently fun to watch, and I hope to join/start an RP as soon as I find.think up one I would like to see. The lore forum is the most different. I range between enjoying the discussions immensely to being disgusted at how the lack of a full game's worth of lore has caused a miasma of complacent confomrity on some (thankfully not all) topics.
