WTH happened.

I visited a lot of forums during my online career, but this is just the most awful one i ever saw.

Ugly Boxes in awkward colours, i dont really know where to look first.
The Navigation is just a masked joke, because i still have these awkward boxes.

The fonts are to small to read without glasses.

In general Usability seems to be a foreign term here.

Bah, i wont anolyse any further, its just to disgusting.


Sry Crytek, this is an EPIC FAIL.


But of course, its really unique, unique in its horrible Unusability.

OK,, so I have to wear glasses whatever i am doing, the only real problem I currently have, is the type could be a be increased, jus maybe a coupla points,
IF, in the first place I had been just plain too damm lazy to look around the topics and layout, then yea, maybe I woulda found other problems, but to be honest, I took a little bit of time to accustom myself to this layout, and think its fine, some people just dont take to change.
Yes i have seen and used other forums, that have a different layout, but thats the point, they are just "different" and it has been said many times, changes will come.
It seems to me there are two basic problems in the forum,
1 a lack of patience,
2 a lazy attitude.
Thankfully, and so far, this has not been a major problem, hope fully, we will see changes soon, Change can be hard to deal with, but hey, its often for the better.

I have tried to conform to these forums and I failed miserably. They are simply too disgustingly painful to use, for reasons I've posted in other threads: Those boxes, no edit, Pm, avatars, signatures, and more.

I have been to a lot of forums in my days, and while none LOOK as good as this website, this one is by far the worst in terms of usability and functionality. I hope that that doesn't speak for the game as well. -.-

And sorry Guss, I just don't want Crytek to miss out on everyones comment, so even in copy threads I'm going to post my opinion in case Crytek checks it out, whether my opinion is positive or negative. And I'm not always negative about it. I'm positive a lot of the time too. Its just that often the negative stuff sticks out more than the positive stuff because of the way our brains are wired. We all need vacations.

Plus, Crytek can never improve as a company without constructive criticism. If all we did was praise them all day, they would never improve as a company. I love Crytek, its just that I have my fair share of criticism to help this company improve its products.

Well I stopped being negative about the website now since Crytek responded to one of the threads talking about fixing it up. The only thing i am negative about right now is the "PC" footage that Crytek won't comment about. Everything else I am happy with. I also have my worries about the release date and the patch support, but I will keep quiet about that now since what I say can't change that date, and I also dont know enough.

There Guss. You got me to keep quiet on everything but the alleged PC footage. I will give Crytek a PM and see if I get a response about it, but until a response i am not happy with that footage. Everything else though, I will keep quiet on.

@ Guss: There is no true 1080P footage as of yet, aside from the C2TV footage. Everything is only 720P because it is on the consoles, and consoles cannot truly render a 1080P image.

I have to say I agree with the OP, and have made my own post on this topic a few weeks ago, but compared to the last gamesas site, this one is by fare the worst. Very unuser friendly and lacking in community participation through the usual media for forums.... I personaly think crytek actually went backwards on this website/ forum design, lets hope this isn't part of future things to come with crysis 2. And don't get me wrong, I will stick up for crytek as in the past when so many have called crytek, but we all make mistakes now and then, and this website is one of those mistakes.

is it not the case that even the would be PC footage, will not be its best unless we get the full 1080, down the line, through the machine, and onto, in my case the 1080 LCD.
what im kinda asking is, even though some of us are watching this in 1080, being as it is 720, will the screen not then guess what colour some of the missing pixels will have to be in respect of the surrounding pixels, particularly in areas of similiar shades.
would this not spoil what we actually see as suppposed PC footage. thus making it seem of Poor quality.
720 on 1080, does have to guess pixelation content to some extent. and this is why I ask,

@Enfadel, 720 was a great improve, here in TV land when UK went HD ready = 720, but i was more impressed when we got the true HD 1080
What was amusing, a Friend who got a big ass LCD set, I think 46" just to beat me, He then stuck in the terestial tv ariel and said, WoW thats fantastic,
Hell it was even worse than our origional standard signal. and I had to take round my blue ray player to show what i meant.
