I am having problems with Crysis 2 on my laptop which has 4gb of ram, ATI mobility 4670, and core I5 520m. I was able to play Crysis on max settings in 1280x720 but in Crysis 2 it is too laggy. I was hoping someone could help me tweak the settings and create a config that would be good for my computer. I can't afford to get a new computer and would like to try to run the game smoothly on this computer. Any help would be much appreciated.

the 4670 isn't a very strong card for something like crysis. i'm really surprised that it would pull Crysis on max settings.

Anyhow, you can probably bump C2 ingame settings to medium, 720 resolution. If you're not getting good framerates, try some of these console commands:

r_colorgrading = 0
e_shadows = 0

It's not gonna be as purty, but you'll get better framerates

I can't think of any more major commands right off. you might try searching the forum, as I know there's several threads with more detailed lists.

Also, make sure vsync is off.

There is special script made for lowering graphics. It's actually program that types graphic commands in console automatically, instead of you typing them manually.

ill try that out stormaj thanks for the link. have either of you guys used game booster or know of anyone who has used that? and does it work?

hmm that card is alot slower than an 8800GT (the bare minimum for crysis 2) but never the less try putting these in the console

r_ssao 0
r_postmsaa 0
e_shadows 0

those commands should give you a nice FPS bost.
