Option to disable Power Armor HUD?

I really do love the new Power Armor system. They're powerful, loud, fun to mod(if a bit limited). They look great and have great animations. But, I almost never actually use them.

The main reason is that awful HUD that takes up sooo much screen space. I understand the desire to have the HUD there in first person, as if you are actually wearing the armor, but it does not need to be sooo big and always on screen. Even the regular non-PA HUD isn't always present. It comes and goes as needed. But the PA HUD is always there presenting you with unnecessary info that is actually way harder to read than the regular HUD. The dials and gauges are a cool touch but they don't give you a clear sense of how many rads you're actually taking on, etc. And, why, oh-dear-god-why, is it still there in third person....? When in PA, there is a constant shadow at the bottom of the screen no matter what you do. It kills the fun of using them and even ruins screenshots. Turning HUD opacity all the way down doesn't make it go away like it does for the regular HUD.

Please, Bethesda, give us the option to turn it off and use the regular HUD, especially in third person.

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else. Am I the only one that feels this way?

If you are on console I'm pretty sure that's a no.

If on pc, I would recommend using NexusMod to find a mod you like. I got a mod which makes the dials clear glass, but the boarders solid. I like it, but there are mods for everyone's tastes.

Yeah, PS4... I'm sure there will be options when the mods hit consoles, but I'm hoping for something official. I was actually looking through the PC mods last night after posting that and I didn't find any where you could have just the normal, non-PA HUD. I was really surprised by that but I suppose there is some info that isn't shown outside of PA, like core level and individual piece health. It doesn't seem like that would be a big deal to add in though.

There is no editor out yet, so the advanced mods are not being made. I don't even use any of the mods that are out now simply because they were not made with an editor for this game. Once the editor is released, you will see more HUD mods. Probably more than you want to try.
