Option of Health Bar?

Post » Sat Sep 25, 2010 4:05 am

Anyone hear of an option to turn off the enemy's health bar? While I can see its usefulness and lets face it, you'll know you caused some damage even if your attempt and subsequent death seem cheapened, I still see that as being one aspect thats TOO arcadey.

I'm not complaining, fact is I feel I've compromised a lot in this game coming from Battlefield Bad Company's "hardcoe" mode, but this is one aspect thats still kind of the sand in my sandal...and not in a good way.

Anyword?

No idea. I don't think you'll be allowed to turn it off but, we haven't heard anything.

I like the health bar. I personally like having a representation of how many more bullets I can block with my face before I die, beside just getting strawberry jello in my eyes.

He meant the 'enemies' health bar. Not your own.

And I do want to keep the health bar. It allows me to give call-outs to my teammates regarding VIP health and such.

I seriously doubt there will be an option to toggle enemy health bars; I actually really like that they've done this.

I like the fact that I know exactly how much HP the enemy I'm shooting has, so I know to fall back if they have full health and I'm about to die, or that they are low on health and I have time to finish them off before I die.

oops, my bad, but my opinion on the subject is still the same; I like a visual representation of the enemy's health so that if I do die, I can at least see how close I was to killing him, and alter my strategy accordingly.

I like it the way Joe says it. Helps to think more tactically and what have you.

I've been playing SC2 ever since my burnout from FPS games and I can't imagine not using health bars now, lol. Honestly, with this game I imagine people are going to find the extensions to the HUD very useful.

Pretty sure you can, SD are usually good for letting you customise you HUD, and that's a part of it.

I'd rather have it there, myself.
