Optional Mission Goals Flashing On Screen

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:00 pm

I wiped out the White Glove Society. Now I am getting repeated "Optional Talk to Mortimer to find out about WGS" messages flashing in the corner of my screen. Any ideas on getting rid of it? Or am I just SOL?

As an aside, updating my video drivers cured all of my CTD issues.

If you have another Quest selected, do you still see those messages about the other quest?

And, are you sure you completed all the quests related to that one?

I saved Ted, killed all the WGS members and told YesMan that I had fixed the cannibalism problem, so I think all the quests are completed. Anyway, Mort's head was splattered by a 12 gauge slug, so talking to him is out of the question.

Yes, it still pops up even with other quests selected. It is popping up repeatedly during play.

If you are on the PC, you can fix this in the console. Use the Set Stage command (or it's FONV Equivalent) to set the quest line as done. Find the code at the Wiki.

If you are on a console, load a save from just before you took everyone out. Maybe you killed someone that you should not have, or too soon. Or, it is just an unrepeatable glitch. I have not done this quest line, so I am not sure what order things should be done in.
