Orc or Nord?

I want to play as a Two-Handed, Heavy Armor, Smithing character.

Also, is heavy armor better then light armor for two-handed weapon builds?

Both are roughly equivalent. Just go with which you like. Berserk is probably better than Frost Resistance, if you remember to use it.

Heavy armor works great. I'm not sure about light, but I'm thinking about making a sneaky guy with a greatsword. Not sure if it's really viable, though.

You should go for whichever you like best. The stat bonuses are not too important that they will really change your gaming experience. I prefer Nords myself.

Orc, Nord doesnt really matter pretty much the same, allthough the Orc has an nice racial ability.. Double dmg dealing against getting half the amount of dmg.
My first play i play as an Nord, it just seems right =), tbh i never used my racial.. :P

I went for light armour because i like to do some slight sneaking/arching and i like sprinting long distances, Heavy just seems to heavy for me.
With the light Dragonscale/Glass armor you still get an high amount of armor.

Going with two handed you are playing what is commonly known as a "tank", so heavy armor is the obvious choice.

I create characters based on RP purposes and I find Orcs slightly difficult to RP as. Besides the obvious, "I kill people because I enjoy killing" mentality one would come to expect from an Orc. Then again, it would be really fun to flesh out an Orc character into something more than just a killing machine.

Nords are VERY fun to RP as and it helps that Skyrim is their homeland.

I tend to disregard stats and special racial abilities...

Its not unless you use a dagger for your stealth kills because there is only a skill to upgrade stealth damage for one handed, bows, and daggers.

both are similar but i would go with orc because nothing says warrior like there racial power berserk.

I was going to go with "juggernaut-of-death-and-destruction" but yeah, warrior works.

+1 Orc.
