do orcs as a race have sense?

Interesting! I knew Tolkien took much from ancients texts, like the elves, dwarves, etc, but I did not know that was also true for orcs. I've read the other posts in this topic, also the one from Singapore Joe which if I checked it well is from the beginning of the 1800s, long before Tolkien. Of course, they mean demons, not Tolkienesque orcs. Tolkien used a lot of things from all sorts of (old) stories and altered them, enriched them to fit in his stories. That's what I think TES should do too. Take some aspects from mythology and fantasy, fine, but make it unique and make it fit well into the world of TES too!

Um..right...well see, there's these games you may have heard of where they do exactly that...

Looks like a good dose of PGE 1 is called for.

TES games tend to leave much of the weirdness in the background though. I mean, it's not like you see Bosmer NPCs in-game start munching on corpses after a fight (sadly, because that would be awesome).

Well you can pretend to eat a corpse in MW as a bosmer. Just hit "dispose corpse" every time you kill an enemy that has meat and wa la! You just ate a body!

Most of the experience is your own imagination. Relative to our imaginations, the games are like the pocket guides, or even the storyboards. So, Hellmouth, you have understanding. Build your house on this foundation.

Speaking of games, Ocarina of Time is actually being re-made. A true remake, true to the concept art by Miyamoto. [censored]. Me. Maybe they'll reprint the official strategy guide, that came to Nintendo Power subscribers. Only, I haven't been a subscriber, since 1899.

There's one problem, Iconoklast, khornanites don't build, and even if we did, it'd kinda just be tossed skulls forming into a mountain of skulls dedicated to the blood god. Neither do the cultists of Nurgle. We prefer things going into a state of entropy. A house infected with a serious mold problem is a great abode for us nurglites.

And really, OoT is being remade? Sweetness!

I read that just the other day. I love it.

For the 3DS, no less; which is apparently going to be the coolest thing since sliced bread.

Of course, that's obvious and that's not what I mean. What I'm saying is that I'd like TES to take those elements from different sources, but just use them in a different way, make the fit in the world of Nirn!

My idea of orcs in TES is that they are nobler than average. I remember the orcs in Gnisis, they weren't stupid or evil at all! I remember a few stupid orcs too, but I think there's examples of stupid people from each race!

I do see parallells with other games, like Warcraft, but I hope TES-orcs will become more unique as their lore expands.
