And teeth that don't look crap. The teeth in this pic look great. In Oblivion the teeth of orcs were just stuck in the mouths and moved weirdly as if they were soft, they did not look like they were stuck in place.

That the orcs were ugly rather than intimidating was probably because of the fact that faces looked bad on almost every character. I have a feeling that Bethesda have done something amazing in store for all the races :D

I think I read somewhere that there will be more differences between the races this time. Even if it just boils down to body type I'll be happy. The Bosmer will probably be slimer, more fey like but the Orcs will be not only taller but wider etc.

This is what orcs should look like IMO.

Its an old movie trailer but you get glimpses of neanderthal like cavemen.

Just putting in my name along with the other people who want better orcs and more diverse races. I liked how they were in Morrowind! Oblivion, not so much, but every race looked silly in that game.....

We're close enough to Orsinium that there could be some really great opportunities for lore development.

I'm hoping for a better look as well, something more like http://mythicmktg.fileburst.net/war/us/home/images/art/WAR_Hammer_v_Black-Orc.jpg

I always loved the beastly warhammer fantasy orcs. They really made them look devastating compared to things like dungeons and dragons', warcraft's, elder scrolls' and lord of the ring's orcs.

http://tesall.sigrom.ru/nirn/images/tes/bestiary/ogre.jpg is an ogre, it looks like in far far away the things that are called orcs in tamriel are called ogres there.

But Shrek is an ogre, not an orc. You can't compare the two, that's just silly.

But thanks to that lil convo of yours, I now want to play an elder scrolls ogre as my PC. :banghead:

Curse these tiny orcs!

I don't know, i'm so tired of orcs I wanna puke, i'm trying to create an image of a cool orc in my head but it's seriously difficult.
Just the word makes me tired.

I hope they change the look of them in skyrim and try to make them somewhat unique...

TES orcs look great, especially the ones from Morrowind. I most certainly don't want to see any [censored] Warcraft orcs in Skyrim. TES is not Warcraft! (And thank the Nine for that)

Warcraft orcs would be going in the opposite direction, I personally hate what warcraft did with with orcs. They're so insignificant they might as well be humans, painted green with straws in their mouth.

Orcs should be of taller stature and significantly more muscular than the other races. For facial features, personally I would much prefer a "warcraft" style of nose as opposed to a decidedly (and traditional) porcine nose. If I have to look like a walking green pig, I probably won't play one - and be extremely disappointed.

They should also have significant bonuses to axes or two handed weapons. I really liked the look of the concept art for the Orc Armor in thehttp://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/01/26/the-art-of-skyrim.aspx feature on Game Informer, so I think we're good there.

http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/community/fanart/index.html#1182 would be a good idea of how I would make my orc. I'd probably go with a more grey colored skin instead of green-green, and I would tattoo the eff out of him, but you get the idea. Also, a huge axe or maul.

I HATE the blizzard orcs - I LOVE the Mordor orcs - I... meh... the TES orcs - hopefully, Skyrim will change that.

As for lore, I'd like to see a split between Trinimac worship and Malacath worship.

Is it possible to not make Orcs look and talk like dumb douchebags?

I like warhammer orc's, stupid but incredibly strong, an imperials strength goes up to 100 a orc's strength should go up to 120 perhaps? However they have a low intelligence, unless they choose shaman at character creation in which case strength is replaced with intelligence/willpower. Maybe as well goblins(if they are in Skyrim?)should not attack Orc's as they see them as kin?

I hope you do know that orcs are the most intelligent of the fightering races. Well, the females are, with 40 int (average) and males the same as the other fighting races (30)

No, you like Warcraft.

The problem is, the orcs are not brutes, they're savages. They've been like that because nearly every race that has come into contact with them has effectively tried to kill every single one of them. And the crap you are spouting is almost as bad as the propaganda from Daggerfall and pre-Daggerfall Tamriel. The orcs are not kin with goblins, the orsimer (orcs) are aldmer who were turned into "pariah folk" (which is what orsi-mer means) due to their god they REALLY followed close to was pooped out.

And orcs are not dumb. If you think they're slobbering brutes, then so are all nords and redguards. Hell, the female orsimer have 40 int, which is average intelligence (bretons, altmer, and female argonians are the only ones more intelligent)

Seriously, all of you REALLY need to read up on the orsimer, and stop the knee-jerk reaction to make them hot, or nearly carbon copies of Warcraft or Warhammer.

They should make Orcs just plain better in Skyrim than they were in Oblivion. They have below average Speed and Agility and only slightly above average Strength of 45 while Nords, another "fighter" race, has average Speed and Agility while having a Stregnth of 50. Sure Orcs have much more Willpower but most Orcs are going to be "fighters" so what help is that?
