re-ordering load order on existing save

So, I know that uninstalling a mod on an existing save can lead to problems, since there could still be scripts running from an old mod in your save. I also know that some mods cannot be installed into an existing game without causing problems and mod authors usually state that in their documentation if their mod requires a new game.

My question is whether reordering a load order (without adding or removing mods) will cause problems with an existing save game. For instance, if you figure out after playing for some time that the LOOT order was not optimal and want to lower a certain mod down a few slots so it takes precedence over another mod. Can you typically do that on an existing save without causing problems? In Oblivion (and Morrowind with the Code Patch), that would typically not cause any issues, but I know Skyrim is more finicky.

Also, is it advisable to use the "sync to masters" function of Wrye Bash in Skyrim when reordering a load order on an existing save?
