Hi guys,

as the topic mention i want you guys to help me decide which option is better.

overall i know the games are the same and i prefer buying a hard copy,it saves downloading time and its nice to have a real disk.

So basically what i wanted to ask is once you brought a hard copy could you access to steam support and features? achievements/patches etc.

If theirs other important differences i would also like to know.

There is honestly not much to win on ordering a physical copy, pc version comes on one DVD which doesn't contain all the game data, so ya still need to download a lot of GB of data from steam.

Just buy it on Steam, unless having the disk, that makes you download and install most of the content anyway, is important to you.

I don't collect disks like some gamers do and prefer to use Steam.

Downloading and installing takes about as long it takes to install from DVD so I see no real competition in that.

Myself I prefer digital copies, I just don't like to have a lot of things in my apartment.

Eh, installing a game off several discs doesn't remotely take me 3.5 hours, like the download did. :/

Downloading and installing took maybe 1 hour for me. I guess it depends on connection speed and when you do it.

Indeed it does. I bought the physical copy (1 DVD, which should have been 4 DVD disks) and it took me 9 hours to download and install the game and cost me an extra $50 in extra bandwidth costs on top of the $80 I spent on buying the game. I was not happy.

Heh..I have unlimited downloads and fiber for only uhm.. about $25.

Yeah, my original plan was to buy the physical copy, but when I read that I would need to download most of the game I simply decided to buy the digital version from Steam (my 1st Steam game).

I downloaded on release day so I simply kicked off the down at midnight and went to sleep. It was estimated as a 9 hour download, but it was done when I woke up at 7am. But I had to go to work so I actually didn't start playing until 7pm that evening.

Yeah, Australia is as big as the US with a smaller population than California. $100 for 250 gig is a good deal over here.

Sweden is probably less than a 10th of that and a population of LA (9 million people)?
