Ordinators hating you

Post » Wed Nov 11, 2009 12:58 am

After you kill a certain amount of ordinators, which i do to make tons of money, they attack you on site which makes doing anything i vivec very annoying. Is there a way to redeem yourself so they stop attacking you on site? They even do it when your not wearing any of their armor.

Well, UESP says

If you attack one before its blow lands on you, you'll be placed on all Ordinators hatelist, meaning that they will always attack you and won't stop until you're dead. The same applies if you are caught wearing either the Indoril Helmet or Cuirass. In combat, Ordinators scale like other guards and are not much harder to kill than a Hlaalu guard for example, but due to their "Die, Scum!" group behavior, it's normally preferable to run than to retaliate. Unless you want their armor...
After you're named Nerevarine by the Urshilaku Ashlanders, the Ordinators might attack you on sight, if your disposition with them is very low. After you meet with Archcanon Tholer Saryoni and Vivec, Ordinators will be more accepting.

So, do more of the main quest is your only hope.

You killed a bunch of them for no reason. And now they want to kill you. How can this be?

To be fair, very few people actually like said elite military police.

Indeed. Until my PC joined the Temple, I was on the verge of going postal every time I went into Vivec. If just one more helmet freak called me "Scum"... :gun:

Almost all of my characters have been relatively high-Personality Dunmer who joined the Temple first thing, so the Ordinators looooove them. ("Greeeetings, citizen. I am at your servissss.") I started playing a Khajit who hates the Temple (never joined), and it was downright disorienting to me when I went to Vivec: "Hey, they really ARE calling me scum! They've never done that before!"

I never tire of killing them. They actually don't usually call me scum, later in the game, so I usually put on their armor just to incite them against me.

I got my revenge by collecting about 300-400 of their helmets in(and outside) Indarys Manor(yes I played through Redoran on that character). It took a hvile to collect them, but it was worth it. And it was quite a sight to se that many helmets knowing that one Ordinator had died for each one. It really gave a sense of accomplishment.
However the didn't start to autoattack me before I was named Nerevarine, so either you have been caught wearing their armor(helmet or cuirass), hit one of them before they hit you or you haven't taken the nessesary steps to calm them down after being named Nerevarine.
