This ORE-Challenge is for me the finest one ORE has ever seen! And for sure, as soon as the plugins out of that challenge are shown public I?ll have a sightseeing tour through every single castle and will enjoy it a lot!

When I think castles I generally split them into two categories...

This one is all about function and defense. Built to house an army and to defend certain geographical points, they usually have barracks, a throne room, a main hall, a dungeon..... Decorated with the spoils of war and suits of armor. Not much elegance at all in the decor. Usually these have massive walls and moats.

Then there is your castle that is built more to be a grand home and house a noble family....

This castle is all opulance and grandeur. Typically they have a grand stair case, a ball room, a grand library. Massive portraits line the walls and the furniture is grand antique pieces of the highest quality.

Wow, that room is amazing! The colours aren't exactly my favorites but the wood paneling and windows are just gorgeous! Thanks for the pictures, they inspired me. I wish I could join the challenge I would have a lot of fun building a castle, so many possibilities. Sadly even if I wasn't holding the challenge I still have to finally finish Pell's Gate.

I think the furniture is amazing in castles. We have a second hand shop here that takes furniture from people's estates and chateaus, and they have many huge antique wardrobes. I keep poking in them looking for Narnia.

Is there a deadline for signup? I ask because I am giving this a shot but I don't want to have to back out if I end up not having the time.

I think the deadline for signing up will be two weeks before the entries are due in, therefore giving time for administration, believe me there is a lot of that to do.

Why does it seem like the waiting is even more unbearable this time around? Maybe I'm just over excited, but I can't wait! Well, I can... I have patience. Yes. :dance:

Part of me wants it to be over soon, so I can see who wins, but the other part wants it to be longer, so that I have time to finish making and perfecting my castle.

Some challengers send me pictures and information on their work because I am the only one allowed to see and sometimes it is nice to have someone to show your work too, especially if you have to keep it secret for three long months. I of course can never do more then admire, I never give advice or suggestions. Point of my long babble over my morning coffee is that I have already seen a few pictures of some peoples work.
