About a year ago now, when Crysis 2 first came out, I created an account on gamesas forums and played the multiplayer with that account, I have the confirmation emails from gamesas to that account. Shortly after playing the multi-player I was annoyed that Crytek would allow, or not think of, such a ridiculous degree of hackers. I think everyone remembers when Crysis 2 launched that it was a rare occasion not to be on a server with a wall/speed/god hacker.
So anyway, I stopped playing Crysis 2.
Yesterday I just so happened to be lurking on these forums, and bored, so I decided to re-install Crysis 2 in the hope that the anti-cheat system actually works and to check out the dx11 pack.
At the log in screen I type in my details, and am refused. Interesting, I thought- maybe I forgot the username.
So I try every username I've ever had- there's only about 7 variations so I can remember them all.
Then I click "forgot password?" and enter my email address to which I get the message (I'm paraphrasing here) Oops! That email address doesn't exist.
Well that's strange because it does, and I have a gamesas account with that email address. Yet it says it's not in use/doesn't exist w/e. AND YET when trying to create another account with that email address it says it does exist. So mods, please- wtf is going on? I wasn't exactly a high level, but I had a fair bit of the perk trees unlocked.
TLDR: Email address comes up as non-existent when trying to retrieve password, yet when creating account email address is in use. Help from mods would be much appreciated.
Peace, cheers and thank you in advanced.
