Original fallouts on iphone?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:14 am

They should totally do this. Quite a few old games are finding their way to the w?nderphone. I think they could totally pull it off and Todd could get his iPhone project he so desires.

I agree that this would definatly be the best thing since sliced bread. I might actually get to play the games then.

Yeah, no. I don't like the idea of Howard et al. touching the originals on PC, let alone a piece of overpriced fashion tech. Heh.

150$ is over priced? Hell, my phone keeps track of police hiding spots, red light cameras, helps me find my car at games, shows me where to go for the cheapest gas, let's me listen to pandora and update facebook. Not to mention replacing my DS as a game system and playing music and movies. Oh, it also has a phone. Multi-touch is perfect for Fallout. The hardware can handle it but the file size would be above average, but oh so worth it. Turn based games were meant for portable devices.

All of which you described...still doesn't justify that price. So yes, it's overpriced. But oh well, Apple's popular for a reason, heh.

This would be a spectacular disaster. It is all to common for PC ports to handheld devices become completely and utterly retarded. With large scale games like FO1/2, it just wouldn't work.

[:hehe: ~Not tried this myself, as I don't have an Iphone, but http://digg.com/apple/iPhone_CPU_may_be_x86?]

Can Bethesda even do anything with the originals? I was under the impression that while Bethesda owned the license now, Interplay still had the rights to all of the pre-Fallout 3 games.

I don't know.
I was under the assumption that Interplay sold the house and rented the attic.
[That they have no claims to the franchise]

Do they have a license to press new ones, or can they just sell old stock (same as any vendor)?

I'd assume they do, the Fallout collection is still being sold in stores in many different forms, I wouldn't know how recent they would have been created, 2006 at the very least. Interplay release the content via download upon payment on their website at present. My knowledge beyond that is limited.

What more do you want it to do, sheesh.

Anyway, back on topic - Interplay cant do it because they arent allowed to change the games, just sell it.

And I think its a terrible idea. I dont think the screen would do it justice (as an iPhone user here).

Seems like it would be impossible to play on a screen that small.

It could work on Iphone or DS however.

A phone should be a phone. A game system should be a game system. When did all these useless feature start making their way in?

Anyway, I don't think there's much point in talking about it seeing as it won't happen.

I'm glad the guy who founded motorolla never listened to you....

A car should be a car.... Why try to put a useless radio in it? Why talk about it, its impossible....

90% of what is "impossible" is actually possible. 9% of whats left can be possible soon.
