Original Guns vs Real Life Inspired Guns

Neither was the CETME. I dislike the new AR design to such an extent I'm permanently scrapping any build that would've used it in favor for the Thompson like SMG. I just find it that ugly.

I don't know enough about guns to know a fictional gun from a real-world gun. It doesn't matter much to me.

Luckily as I mentioned up at khajitts post there seams to be a full auto mod, so just pick your favorite, eligible semi auto gun and make it a auto.

There is another gun that looked a bit like an assault rifle that actually is good looking. In the Trailer when the Sole Survivor is walking through, I think it was Diamond City, the guard that was patrolling had what looked like an assault rifle of some kind that looked really good.

I just checked it out, it looks a little like the riot shotgun from NV.

I prefer a mixture of original guns and A.K.A. 47s.

This is a non-issue for me. The best answer is a happy medium. Every Fallout has had both and Fallout 4 will be no different.

I'm sorry, I was mistaken about what video I saw it on. It was the E3 demo at 14:30. The guy definitely has a gun with a "banana" clip because you see it from the back side and it is really thin unlike the drum mag on a combat or riot shotgun. I think it really is an assault rifle!

By and large my questions about it boil down to
is it a gun....as in does it look like something you do not want pointed at you because it migh shoot something at you that you do not want shot at you
does it shoot something in the direction of the target.
Does that do thing do damage to or otherwise make whoever I shot with it wish I had not done that?
Will I be sufficiently happy about the shooting of whatever I just shot at said target given the context?

Oh the answeres to the the above is yes.....then say hello to my newest best friend.....

I'd be fine with a mixture of home made and real world weapons.

Just make sure that they look realistic, don't make something like the combat shotgun where the drum magazine is in the wrong place. It should have been just past the trigger where the breach is.

yeah, I also vote in mix of both.

For example, I always love the .223 pistol, but I can not deny my love for police pistol.
