Other Companions in FO4

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 3:52 am

We all know that you will be able to have a dog as a companion in fallout four but does anyone else think there might be other companions available in FO4.
I personally would like to see companions linked with the different factions so if you get 'idolized' by a faction you can get a human or superhuman/nightkin or other companion as well as the dog!
I think it is a great idea since if you have a settlement they would help protect it.
It is possible because in Fallout New Vegas you could get a dog/robot and human/nightkin companion at the same time!

I'm very certain we're going to have more companions other than Dogmeat. It wouldn't even surprise me, considering our character is pre-War, one of our companions is a pre-War Ghoul like Raul. Maybe this pre-War Ghoul was also a soldier at one point?

I also hope we get to recruit Godfrey. I want to make up for making him wait 200 years for me to eat dinner. :(

Well of course...

Aside from logic, they already did so with Skyrim and in FO:NV (even though it's made by Obsidian).

Yeah but in fallout 4 we know you can direct the dog where to go which you cant do in New Vegas, you can only give basic instructions like wait here and open inventory, i'm not sure about skyrik tho but what he means is he hopes you can command the humans in fallout 4 just as well as the dog

It happened in Skyrim. You could command them to open locked chests, take an item, and even pointless commands such as sit. If it already happened in a previous Bethesda game, why wouldn't it happen in FO4?

Personally, I would like to see more than 2 - 3 companions at once in you pose. Like all recruitable companions so you can have a Death Squad if you want. In FO3 and FNV there were mods that let you do this. I HOPE they atleast noticed those mods for possible incorporation of the game... If not, then I'll be looking for that mod on the net.

I want another tribal companion like sulik though I doubt we'll see any out in the east, but here's to hoping Beth makes some more interesting companions because I really can't think of any from FO3 off the top off my head.

Given the setting and how much they seem to be pushing the revolutionary war vibe with the minutemen, laser muskets, and all that, I'm expecting/wanting a ghoul companion who is insane and convinced that they are a redcoat still fighting in the war or something along those lines.

A deathclaw companion like in fallout 2 but this time we can ride piggy back on him/her and tell him/her what to ram.

Right, because a sentient companion would be just thrilled to have some jokel fresh out of a vault riding on his back for [censored] and giggles. Not demeaning at all.

Personally I hope to get companions with some depth and story to them instead.

Before New Vegas, JE Sawyer promised us a companion named Azrael Babyeater, who was to be a human-Deathclaw hybrid that feeds on childhood innocence.

I'm still waiting for that.

well in fallout new vegas you dont even need to mod to get more than one companion theres a cheat or glitch which allows you to have all the human companions at the same time.

I think we might be able to have a super mutant companion. In the gameplay trailer, there was what appeared to be a super mutant standing next to the PC when he was shooting at super mutants on some sort of elevator. Of course, that could just as easily be a temporary quest companion like Sydney.

Hopefully if there is a superhuman which i love the sound of because if you have to gaurd a settlement theres nothing better than a guy that looks like the hulk, twice your size and holding a mini-gun on your side馃槀

friend it was a joke post I dont think for a second that there will be a companion deathclaw at all. I also thought they would never make dragons rideable but there they are rideable [censored] dragons so if bethesda wants to add deathclaw horses in there game then its going to happen.

Really? That's good then, would certainly rather have a robot than some dog.

Though they do seem rather proud of Dogmeat and his ability to bring you things. As-long as he isn't forced on us.

Dammit, I'm never gonna get his name right. :P But good info though. I'll make sure to build him a nice home in the settlement I construct at Sanctuary Hills.

I doubt the dog is forced, its just such a widely beloved legacy character Beth basically had to include it.

Lydia, please pick up the pile of dwemer metal :)

Followers could also pick locks and activate various stuff.

One fun exploit in Skyrim was to drop an rare / unique weapon outside an load door, tell follower to pick it up and walk trough load door before she did. She would follow with the item, walk out again and another copy would still lie outside.
