Other Continents and Gods : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

So, I know there are other continents. Does lore offer anything as to whether these other continents still generally believe in the Aedra and Daedra, or whether they follow their own gods? Even in Tamriel, the inhabitants of Skyrim had different beliefs, even though a Daedra Prince was responsible. I know that the Ka Po'Tun follow Akatosh, but aside from that?

I think we can assume that the only different gods they would have would be warrior-hero gods specific to their culture. Other than that their gods would just be different interpretations of the Aedra and Daedra, as can be seen by the Tsceasci (sp?) creation myth.

WK is right. see the Yokudan pantheon for reference: it is part et'ada and part specific cultural god-hero.

Akavir probably has various demons and culture heroes, and Tosh Raka supposedly made himself an immortal dragon. Perhaps he mantled Akatosh, if only partially.

Given the differences between base Man and Mer philosophy, I'd reckon that the root is the same (like people here have explained), but the application, implications, and interpretation is wildly different. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Yeah, I was under the impression Akavir were separate altogether.

Ya, but the people of Akavir, as well as their deities, are the philosophical equivalent to the people of tamriel.

I'm positive the snakes are similar to men, in that they are the enemies of the king of Alinor, but so too is the Maormeri king, Lorkhan incarnate; making another choice for the comparison to man.

I?m sorry but how is the Maormeri king Lorkhan incarnate? Could you link some sources to read on that subject?
