what if we meet a european version of the Enclave? one that succeeded?

that would be interesting, like they were trying to claim nyc, but the nyc version of enclave or BOS were battling them to keep them out.

A gang from Brooklyn would be awesome. I like the baseball idea as well. Maybe you could collect sports memorabilia instead of bobble-heads and snow globes

As much as I'd like to see a alternative 50's NYC in fallout, I just don't see it happening, NYC has been done so much in other games that people would be comparing it to so many out of genre games like GTA.

BUT I would like to see another east coast addition, and the perfect (already established in cannon) place might be The Commonwealth, aka Massachusetts. Perhaps even as a small excursion RPG between major games to bridge the time gap.

Just think, a post apoc' Boston centered around M.I.T. with a bunch of half robot/half human cyborgs with mechanical slaves running around and the player stuck in the middle trying to fight a growing rebellion! This thing writes itself.

what if you where some guy from england or somewhere you came over on a ship to america just because,
but i think miami if its still there, i think that would be sick

or orlando with disney, universal studios, and busch gardens, i think? if its set in floria, have mutated sharks and dolfins and alligators. or it could be in the everglades, tho swampy areas was already done in point lookout.

and to further cement that, you could have a little music player inside the helicopter playing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twk6_lxVw_M they could teach you different things for whichever ones you manage you save, you get to learn a bit about each person that made it...that would be so great.

I like the idea, but it must be sung by Bing Crosby.

I think Houston has a very good chance at being in game. You have a antique battleship situated at San Jacinto battle grounds, you got the San Jacinto monument (simmilar to the washington monument just with a 3D star atop it) as well as the San jacinto grave yard situated around the base of the monument. You got Ellington Airforce Base situated here as well. Depending on how you situate the map you could even include Texas city or even galveston as well.

Another location could be in Canada somewheres, Canada after all was annexed into the US before the bombs fell and it could give us the chance to see "anchorage" style landscapes with the possiblity of nuclear hotzones.

In the end biggest one I would like to see would be the houston/texas city/galveston area in a new Fall Out game.

I think the game is set in Las (New) Vegas so we can have the West Coast enemies and factions in a Fallout 3 style game. However, NYC would still be awesome. If the Fallout 3 style Trogs majorly replaced ghouls, then the game will look quite a bit like "I am Legend". Even if ghouls are much more common, then some nods to the movie would be awesome.

I know it's overstated, but I want to see New York. Not so much the city, but other areas in the Hudson Valley area. I'd really like to see what happened to West Point.

Florida, a Client State of the Empire [a possible Louisiana or maybe even Puerto Rico base military state engaged in a long and losing war with the Enclave] where you play a member of the new Ambassador's/Governor's staff who arrives in the peninsular just in time for a bloody rebellion, an enclave F.E.V. bombing campaign and as the central plot, the discovery of a Super-Weapon in Space that can be controlled if only a rocket with the right activation equipment can be launched into space. And so the race begins to complete repairs on the Cape Canaveral launch site which was badly damaged by the war and subsequent abandonment to use one of the three rockets that are still in a fixable state to set the signal satellite into the sky and blow the enclave and/or empire from the face of the earth with an experimental giant space laser.

Maybe in the middle on the great plains, struggling settlements surrounded by the horse and occasional truck nomads of the empty land with the Traveller [player] the deciding factor in what type of society will the the future of the plains.

Victoria in B.C., maybe the whole of Vancouver Island could be the map with brief crossings to the irradiated ruins of Vancouver city [during the day with the boat leaving before night fall as with darkness the city is overrun with Ghouls and other monsters]. As the new Kingdom of B.C. struggles to maintain itself following the disputed election of its second Governor-General following the suspicious death of the nations founder, rumours of monsters and unimaginable beasts have started to spread from the north of the island and the a swarm of mysterious monsters beneath the water have effectively cut the island off from all mainland trade and assistance, sinking and devouring all ships they come across, a stranger washes up on the beach and shows the sort of spirit that can make a man a hero or a king who is drawn into the chaos of the new states first civil war and its surprising invasion of mutated monsters and their mad scientist emperor who would rule the world.

An undisclosed location along the Mississippi river which is as deadly and poisoned as a river could be seen to be as in 'the Pitt', where a number of different new cities in the loose trading confederation, the Alliance of Free Cities, with two great cities, one ruled by a scientific elite who though controlled marriages and fertility techniques have built a caste society with a mutated stream of humans who claim their lineage from a post-war hero at the top all the way down to mutated people at the bottom in a slave caste.
Who are locked in a cold war with a City of Ghouls on the edge of the river with criss-crossed trenches in-between them and tensions rising towards war or even, Nuclear War as things are being escalated in secret by Enclave agents who are trying to get these two city-states into not just blowing up each up [which they will do anyway] but blowing up all the other cities as well as the Enclave attempts to destroy and discredit the new civilisations that are developing in America so that they can claim the restoration of society and civilisation once they get around to it.
[this would also be a plot theme in the first idea, and maybe the ones in the middle too as its sort of a series plot more than a single game one]
And with the game ending as the two cities blow each other to smithereens.

A Vault on a grand scale built to house an entire city load of people but the damage of the War to the land above cut off all routes to the surface trapping them beneath the earth forever! Eventually tunnelling into vast underground caverns while building extensions in the lower levels, they use the G.E.C.K.s to create a new world under the earth and thinking themselves the last humans alive in the world set about the creation of a new world. Eventually splintering into different factions and as they titter on the edge of their first war, a Stranger from the world above falls from above into the Great Waterway and changes their society forever!
