Other Places the new FO game could be

I would like to see the state of Massachusetts, better known as the Commonwealth in the Fallout Universe, mainly because this is where the mysterious Institute is located.

I've stated it before, I'll state it again. I definitely want to see 'Ronto, assuming it wasn't blown off the face of the earth from Mothership Zeta. -_-

If not 'Ronto, I want to at least see snow in Boston/The Commonwealth. It would be interesting to see how the nuclear fallout affected the snow. You'd have to worry about being both warm AND not getting irradiated.

Along with that I was a big fan of Point Lookout and would like to see more of that bayou, swamp look. So like francisthemutant had said in a different thread:
New Orleans

I would like to see a Fallout game take place in Miami...I think that would be interesting...

And in Paris...that'd be neat. Like there's a quest where you have to steal the Mona Lisa from the Louve.

yes, and we hear a massive soundtrack of CCR music, like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfyEpmQM7bw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ec0XKhAHR5I&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIjUY3pjN8E

Paris would be pretty cool, but i'd think that the Louvre would present itself as a great military headquarters, i've been to the Lovre, and by god it would be perfect for a group of soldiers to hide in, it puts down the Pentagon in my opinion. then we hop onto a train to see the devastated suburbs of Paris, get hit by a rocket and hike the rest of the way to versailles, and see that this place is held by a secret government faction within the parisan government. let them eat cake? thats expensive, bullets on the other hand.

what would be even cooler is if all of the people of central paris have beheadings and executions like during the french republic with robespierre...that would be just plain awesome..

Oh man the roller coaster part would be priceless. You're right, sniping in the city would be an adventure. I would be interesting to see a post-apocalyptic NYC. They should really take this into consideration

i agree ray and i've been saying that all along, i want to see a fallout entirely in a city, so an area the size of the CW but all city, and a rubble pile city like DC ruins, a city we can navigate, skyscraqers, condos, industrial areas, a shipyard, an airport or two, a baseball stadium, neighborhoods with houses we can actually enter, malls with shops and stores, but a huge area the size of a typical fallout just most or all of it in a city, like NY or Chicago, not like the pitt exactly even though the pitt was cool, more a city like GTA, but even better, where we can go in most of the buildings and shops and stores etc, i'm talking a 500 hours plus game to explore everything. subways, etc, everything most major cites have.

Fallout 4

Year: 2288

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana

I love NOLA, I've lived here my whole life and its perfect for a fallout installment. The Cathedral, Jackson Sq., The Mississippi, Bourbon St., Lake Ponchtrain, and the swamps only 20 miles away are all great for post-Great War. Also during for you mafia types, during the 50s the mob was very powerful in the underworld, booze, guns, loose women, etc, they also played a huge role in local and state government.

Most of Australia is already akin to a post apocalyptic wasteland. And you already have strange, giant mutant rats that can disembowel you with a kick. Packs of baby eating wild dogs. Tons of poisonous snakes, deadly crocodiles and spiders with fangs sharp enough to pierce a leather boot.

putting a game in NY wouldnt follow the fallout theme they want u to beable to go out into the country plus it would take way to long to make because every building would have to be crafted
i think they should put a fallout in cleveland, buffalo, or memphis. the reason being that these are all smaller big cities that are close enough to wildreness that there is a mix of game play :fallout:

I would love to see how the Kentucky coal mines would have massive mining installations due to the universe's resource wars. Would love to travel through the hilly regions, and visit the Fort Knox gold desposit/training course. Travel through the Ohio River near Louisville. Yeah I live here thats why I picked this from my biased opinion.

I think the setting for Fallout 4 should be Mars.

...Mars, Texas, that is.

Something that has been irritating me in a minor way, is how a lot of DLC ideas and future installment suggestions are mostly on location, rather than story, concept, or at least an idea. For instance, someone will go "I want a dlc in [location]." to which I feel compelled to inquire "and...? Is that all? No story or situation?"
I'd rather a Fallout Game follow an idea and a story rather than build itself around a location.

The setting for Fallout New Vegas is set in stone now - or is it bright lights?

However, if you want to discuss where Fallout 4 should take place, http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1108234-official-fallout-4-location-suggestions/
