In our Post-Apocalyptic World

Post » Thu May 06, 2010 4:23 pm

After the Apocalypse I would like to be wherever the Rupture is supposed to take place.

What in the hell is "the rupture"?

Oh...wait. Please... tell me you meant "The Rapture".

I'm lol'ing....this is by far the most hillarious thing I've read on this forum, EVER!

"...the Rupture". aggggggh! :slap:

The closest gun shop. Then I'd probably look for other survivors. I don't think long range travel would really be much of an option. I might try to make it to Rochester. Provided it's still there. Lived there for a long time, and I know it well. Surviving would come first though.

@ Pistolero: Around here I'd be surrounded by Radpossums! http://i38.tinypic.com/iollx0.jpg

Altough the rupture (breakdown) is commonly confused with the rapture (second coming of christ) the word was intentionally misspelled and it was meant as a joke. I think that when this world comes to an end most of us can look forward to a rupture instead of the rapture. If there is a hell I''ll see you there.

First I would take a look around my home town Oklahoma City, see what's left of it. Probably not much, since a lot of Oklahoma is wide open range.....I live on land in the country so just about maybe 20 to 30 minutes away from down town Oklahoma City. First I would loot and find whatever is left of downtown, I have interesting desires for decay locations after a Fallout so I would love to check it out. Then when I'm already packed up with food, water, weapons and etc. I'll plan for long walking trips..or find some type of working transportation if there is anything left. Next I would make my way to Colorado....since mountain locations would provide better security and food, weapons and so forth.

Then after a few weeks or months there, I would head out SE towards Alabama and see if my grand parents have survived....then after that trip make my way to Florida to see what a beach location looks like after a Fallout. Next I would head out NE to New York and see New York city, loot the City and find out who is left from the Fallout, and I would make sure I would find a companion along the way, because New York city could be the dangerous place to loot. Especially since there is a lot of raiders at New York City, so I would pickup a dog for a companion and name it dogmeat, then after that trip head out to Maine and check out whats left of that cost line. See if any lighthouses are left intact, and check out the local area....and that's when I bump into a fisherman and his boat that somehow luckily survived the Fallout. He has a cute daughter about my age aboard to.

So we take sea adventures out into the sea after the world nuclear war, also he has enough supplies to make a trip along the North Atlantic Ocean. After a long journey at the see we finally get to the shore of Spain. After a year or two in Spain we make a trip out to Russia, along with his cute daughter that was trained by her dad in weaponry along with my best friend dogmeat. Russia proves to be a dreadful path to take, not just the raiders are to worry about...and the journey continues along the world or it comes to a end after we encounter something we can't handle............

Oh, of course! I mean, re-reading your original post, it's obvious that you're not some 15 year old Archie Bunker, or anything like that. I'm sorry to have implied that you were!

And, on the subject of "If there is a hell...", I'm not intimidated.
If there does turn out to be a hell, I'll just open the console and type "SetAV Karma 1000", and spend the rest of eternity drinking lamb's blood and playing harp with my 72 Muslim houri.
So THERE! :frog:

Wookie:
Sorry for hijacking your thread.
I'll stop now before I get in trouble.

"the Rupture"

If I could find a way, I would likely go to Dunsfold Park, remove a certain Toyota from a certain plinth, weld the frame back together, take a certain uniform from a certain very strange man, head back stateside, convert the pickup to run on something widely and cheaply available in the wasteland, then run over anyone who crosses me on my way to Vegas. Once in Vegas, I would use that certain Toyota to set up the only speedy mail service left in the US. I'll either die in a horrible crash and leave the unharmed truck to a rightful heir or retire a rich, comfortable old man.

Don't worry, we'll go together. I rofl'd. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Ahem. :')

Ahhh I am actually crying a little.

Anyway!!!!!
A cool place to hole up if we're talking in the first years would probably be a shopping centre. You'd be like "YEAAAAH you want food you come to ME". Of course then it being me, I'd start throwing it to people out of guilt.

I'd probably pay a visit to Cheyenne Mountain. See if anyone (or the complex itself) is there. Maybe take a trip across the U.S. and see all the major sites. Then I'd pop over to Hawaii since I don't think it would be a major target for nuking.

I would make a trip 'round the world. First stop: Nashville. My vault would be within 20 miles of it, so it would have to be the first place I go. Then, I'd head up to DC, from there to Dunsfold Aerodrome in England(Yes I'm that much of a Top Gear geek). From there, over to the Nurburgring, on to Tokyo. From there I'd head south, stopping at Hiroshima and Nagasaki on the way, then from there I'd go on down to Austrailia, then into California. Once I'm back in Cali, I'd head up to Anchorage, then back to Vegas. Then I'd settle down.

Speaking of, I've been to Hawaii. Um yeah but we most remember some nukes these days can cover a wide ratio of space, anyway Hawaii would not be a large target what if a nuke could of reached due to blast impact from another location.

I'm English X3 I'd probably go to a nasty seaside place like Skegness and turn Fantasy Island (cheap crappy 'amusemant park') into my personal kingdom. It'd be amazing. Broken rollercoasters and clowns as far as the eye can see.

That's what I'd do although I'd head for Blackpool and the Pleasure Beach. I'd set up a base of operations on the Valkyrie ride there as it'd make a great sniper point.

I'd go somewhere where there are less malevolent creatures (present time), so that there'd be less hugemutatedmalevolentcreatures in post-apocalyptia.

So, provided most of the inhabitants died too, I'd stay put in my town. Major carriageways to all big cities (walking though, urgh).

Yeah, I'd definitely stay here if I survived, and my best friend did. I like to think we'd find a house that's not obliterated, barricade it up, and live out the rest of our lives. That or find a warehouse, and do the same. Just with more space for sillyness.

Everyone needs sillyness.

Edit - Wow, I'm dumb. Places I'd visit? London.
