Post » Mon Dec 14, 2009 6:49 am

I'm want to do an outcast wizard rp. I'm going to be using Frostcrag Spire, I'm going to be an Altmer Mage with the Atronach birthsign. i'm just wondering how to continue it.

Join the Mages Guild and get yourself into the Arcane University. Once you're inside, just [censored] about, and get yourself kicked. That should give you a decent footing to work on, as an outcast.

Don't know about Frostcrag spire thing, but Necros are the opposite to Mages so should be fun. Get lots of Skeleton/zombies spells and get some Necromancer robes and camp out in one of their lairs.

Get black soul gems where you can and soul trap humans too. :)

But the only way you can get chucked outta the guild is murder :(

And the MG hates necros so much....its just logical.

But if you really want to get chucked out some other way, RP styel..

I was rejected from the mages' guild because I was a bum and refuse to attend classes.

i was rejected from the mages' guild because I practiced Daedric magic (I like that one, like Martin)

i was rejected from the mages' guild because I stole precious Magical artifacts.

i was rejected from the mages' guild because I always fought with other guildmates.

i was rejected from the mages' guild because I refused to wear stupid flappy robes.

you could create a powerful spell that backfires and kills/injures some fellow mages, you get kicked out and retreat to your tower. You live in your tower for a while until you decide that you want to make amends. go kill some necromancers and work to rejoin the guild. the guild eventually becomes happy with you and allows you to rejoin, you visit guild halls to sell potions and learn new spells but keep living in your tower. when the guild is attacked by necromancers you could retreat to your tower and live there in fear or whatever.-just a suggestion

Ooooh!!! Yea I just started an outlaw wizard (actually a witch) a couple weeks ago! I'll tell you some stuff about her. I'm not sure what you're into, so if you find some of it tempting, great. If not, that's fine, too.

Her name is Luci Pheria (a play on Lucifer). A dark elf-witch. Middle aged (500 years old). I'm modeling her off of the typical storybook medieval-type of witch who lives far in the woods somewhere, brewing up concoctions. Everyone who sees her will eventually FEAR her, assuming she lives & becomes more and more powerful.

She spent most of her early life in Morrowind, where she mastered the skill of Alchemy. Learned all about Cyrodiil's herbs, flowers, mushrooms, etc. She was also a very good cook.

...Her life was nothing exciting at this point. Just a country dark elf riding a horse in the wilderness, looking for ingredients.

Early on when the Mage's Guild was being formed and a movement against Necromancy was beginning to gain steam by certain MG members, Luci was branded as a witch, even though she never practiced magic in her life! She happened to be in Cheydinhal when this happened, but somehow wound up in the Imperial City jail.

She spent much of Uriel Septim's reign in jail without managing to get killed. That's a lot of years, of course. During this time, she missed her dark elf family. She missed Morrowind. During this time, she became very angry. Very cold. thinking revengeful thoughts. Ironically, she finally did learn a bit of magic during this time, by sneaking books on it. She learned the art of throwing fire from her fingertips. ;)

But she knew her magic was weak. She could never use her pathetic fireball spell against a guard in hopes of escaping jail, because (of course) there's always other guards around.

So when Uriel passed thru her cell, all she could think were spiteful thoughts. She wanted to beat this man, whom she saw as arrogant, rich, and blessed, while she felt CURSED by the Imperial man. She actually threw a fireball at Uriel later on (just one) but he shrugged it off.

Long story longer: once she got out of the sewers, it became her goal to find a dwelling far into the country, murder its inhabitant(s) (assuming they aren't elves) and live her quiet, simple life as she had before. brewing up potions, poisons, and finding a means to protect herself if need be.

...but of course, all of this is easier said than done!...

1. She needs money.

2. Luci needs to earn this money somehow while staying as far outside of civilization as possible.

3. Her only exceptions to this rule will be if she needs to buy spells. She'll go into town, cursing its inhabitants, and finally buy the spell she needs. Invisibility (once she finds whoever sells it) will change everything for Luci!

4. She will not be joining the Mage's Guild, although it's very possible to do an anti-social witch or wizard who does join as a necromancer-spy perhaps, but that's not what Luci Pheria is all about. And I just read that's not what your char is going to be about (necromancy, that is).

5. So far, she managed to buy & sell lots of useless potions & poisons to the innkeeper at the Drunken Dragon Inn, and managed to plunder (somehow) the nearby Ayleid ruin, even though she's currently a pretty poor mage magic-wise.

6. She has taken no quests; not sure if she'll join the Dark Brotehrhood... She never even delivered the Amulet! As such, her "quest" is to find a cabin, and that's what she's doing. She's my character that does nothing but roam!

7. Bottom line, she's just about as anti-social a character as I've ever had. Chaotic Evil to the max. :ooo:

8. Oh, and she likes eating rats! (and wisp stalks and other stereotypically bad stuff)! Prison food was so bad sometimes, she got in the habit of using her fireball to kill & roast rats! Now that she's free from the prison, she still occasionally will roast up a rat. Flambed rat. Stir-fried rat!

The beautiful thing is I'm not sure what she's going to become once she's found her "home". I see her as this old-fashioned witch, but who knows what'll happen. She's going to stay anti-social, mean, and cold, though!

Oh, and she also plays the Disposition game in reverse! In other words, she jokes, jousts, compliments, and taunts whoever she talks to (if she feels like it) but she picks everything a character shouldn't pick. People will eventually HATE her on sight! ...assuming they're not elven and/or dis-aligned with Imperial life.

I'm also roleplaying her NOT to use Restoration most of the time (in contrast with all my other characters so far). She's so evil, she's unable to pick up this sort of magic UNLESS she drains it from some one else or some other being! :D That'll be how she gains health, magica, etc...she'll have to constantly find ways to drain it from some other source.

one idea is to learn a good command creature spell, charm a wolf to follow you around forever as your pet. or just a decent summon creature mod (i play on 360 so have no suggestions there.
