because a consoles less expensive then paying $400 just so you can play the same game on a pc  did you not read his post completely
ok lets do math
Average Family:
Has
-PC (home computer shared) spent around $1300-1500 on it because they bought from a store such as Best buy Wal-mart, or Dell
-Console (gaming needs for children or self) Paid $150 (give and take between PS3 and Xbox 360)
-A new game every 6 months costing $60(70 soon) $120 a year
(repeat first two every 10 years or so another $1400 down the drain.)
Total price- $~1670
Thats average
FRESH PC gaming that knows where to get it and what to get it
-TOP OF THE LINE PC $~1200 (Average PC $~600)
-Accessories $200
- Games cost $50 usually if not less if you get steam deals which can go down to $2-10 for older/indie games games and gives discounts on series packs (10 games for $70) pretty much once a twice a year.. $100
(Upgrade every 4-5 years $200 on a new GPU adding $400 every 10 years)
Total Price $~1500 if you get top of the line $~900 if you get average
Current PC owner that learns or get help from online sites/personal friends and family
-GPU/Ram upgrade $~300
- Games same as previous $100
(upgrade every 4-5 years GPU adding $400 every 10 years)
Total Price $400
If you do have a console you can sell it for $30 games sell them for $10-25(pending on what it is) to people (better deals then they are going to get elsewhere) that will drop that $400 quickly.. when you say "YOU CAN"T SELL GAMES" wrong.. Ebay=monay i have sold around 30 games for $5-20 each (N64 games) which is what paid for a good share on my new rig.
There is really no way you can deny it cause i can go through links after links showing you each of them...
