BTW -

The new thing is for developers to say their product is in pre-alpha phase.

Like SOCOM at GDC for example...

Just be a bit cautious when believing pre-alpha phase all the time.

ok first off this game looks like its made of EPIC WIN!! but i digress, now down to business ok now i would like a pull over nylon spec ops mask without the steel on it and a spike mohawk added to it lol that would b sweet for the rebels as a type of sign that " hey ive slaughtered you Security Scum BRING IT ON!!!! "

another plus would b designing your own war paint for your face i mean sure the preset camo face paints are fun but people get bored of that so haveing the ability to design your own face paint would be kick-ass, added to that would be designing you own patch/logo/tattoo for your armor/flesh i think that brings more of a realistic team feel instead of just armor/shirt color :)

some comic thing to add would b superhero outfits but like with a resistance / security twist to them lol like if ur a big guy with no shirt you should b able to paint ur skin green so u can look like the hulk with purple ripped jeans lol, givin to the guy who said jumbo cowbow hats i guess resistance could wear a jumbo road cone on there head lol

also if they went as indepth with the gun design as APB goes with the car/Logo design BRINK would serious whoop the anus of every other game out there that has so called " weapon Coustimization "

( sorry for bad spelling )

Outfits/customizations any awesome or possibly funny suggestions? SPOILER ALERT that is if you didnt watch the new trailer.any way in the trailer it shows a sniper with a surgeon's mask and if you look closely it shows a pin with skull and crossbomes i think pins, patchesetc. would be cool/and have an outfit to go with what pertains to what you want to do in the game

I think itd be cool if in the character customization you could choose a power like swimming or like brething underwater like a mask and stuff like heat vision and other stuff etc etc
Cheers :foodndrink:

heat vision isint not possible because of thermal goggles but ive never played a war game where u have thermal goggles ( and no MGS is not a war game thats covert stealth action )

but breathing underwater is dumb ( no offense ) the battle takes place on the ARK not in the water

There might be cracks in the ark, and just levels with many water around, so it would be a fun idea to make underwater infiltration and fights. And if you play russian roulette with a russian it still would be called "russian roulette".

The talked about water mission (since the Ark is floating in the ocean) and they said they wanted to avoid water - they said water is a disabler, not an enabler - when you're in water, you move slow, you can't do any actions, can't have your weapon out, etc. and when you're underwater, things move slow, everything is tedious - it goes against the fast gameplay that Brink is all about. I don't suspect there being any missions being played in/underwater - at least not enough to have underwater breathing and water associated skills.

Well gadgets could help, i mean to make the movement faster, plus ther could be underwater stealth gameplay for operatives, or underwater demolition, stuff like that would be fun. But they won't do it, I'm sure.

I'm from Russia and we call it "russian roulette", don't see any reason why we shouldn't.

I think they need some dark suit for certain people. Take the Resistance The Anger, in the trailer he was the guy jumping every where and he ends up killing the one other guy who dropped a piece of construction equipment on someone and escaped a maletough cocktail. The Anger seems like an assasin so it would be cool if they made an all black uniform for him and then give him the red bandana that he already wears.

Yeah ninja style. Hiaa yaa! No but seriously I think that in addition to individual pieces of armor or clothing, they should create full body matching outfits for all the classes, or even perhaps class specific outfits.

you can change the color of clothing, but colors are faction specific. The "stealthy" ability of the Operative is disguising as the enemy, and since you take on his clothing and physique when you do this, it doesn't matter what you wear. And for the last time, there are no ninjas or assassins - there is an Operative, who main use is for recon and sabotage.

I Have been thinking of the possibility of a "stitch" or a "Tie" adder tool.
Which basically mean you can take any peice of clothing and put the white "stitches" into it to make it look like you ripped it ans have sewn it back together, and or a "Tie" adder, which is not like a suit and tie, but something the charcter has used to physically Tie a peice of clothing tighter to his body.

So you could put a tie around your left leg and it would look like someone has sorta ghetto tied a rag around your leg to help keep your pants/shorts up.

just a idea.

I think it would be great for the game to have a tattoo system like in Guitar hero:Metallica. you were able to take a very wide range of symbols, shapes, and pictures and make tatoos or Album covers for your band and character. it would be cool for something like that in Brink. o and also i agree with one of the guys earlier. GAS MASKS

RESISTANCE WAS HEREZ :jammasterjay:

I couldn't imagine playing a game with another language than english. As long as the natives are talking thier language it's alright but if menus, objectives and npc voices was in swedish I would hate the game! I remember when steam changed my default language in Counter-Strike, the first thing I did was switch it back. :P

But I guess in Germany, France and other big countries with globally known languages you are used to hear it your way.

They don't speak other languages, they just have accents (based on the vids) Like in the beginning of the first container city vid, the black guy is speaking english with an african accent, and there is a brit there also. I want to speak english with a German accent.
