Reach turned out to be a very dissapointing game, with the potential of becoming great, but the developers didn't listen good enough. After 7 months they think removing a map from living dead is going to work when there are 100s of complaints on other things.

I hope Brink won't follow this path. And I really hope that Splash Damage are like Bungie and try to listen and interact with their community to see how they (lol we) like it and maybe adjust some things based on that, through title updates if necessary.

Reach is a great game, it's just not as amazing as Halo should be

THere are a lot of things about Reach that need fixing. And I'm not talking about the most things everyone say, I'm talking about glitching in Forge mode and that kind of stuff.

OMG, lol, that reminds me of some time long ago when some dudes on some HM forums said they had to pretend they were getting the HM games for their girlfriends or for their female relatives in order not to get embarrassed buying those games in public! :lmao:

What is that supposed to mean? You think I make up excuses because I'm embarrassed? lol

I thought this was about personal over-hyping. Most of those games have lived up to it anyway, but being on a forum and having watched every single video is my personal symptom of over-hyping; BRINK had better live up to it.

Oh well, I don't hype games anymore. Or, as a matter of fact, I never really did. Because no game can really live up to the hype it usually builds. But games like Super Meat Boy can deliver a lot more than anyone would've expected.

Just picked up Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, so there's that. Plus I just started up another run at Mass Effect, plan on running up a new character through 2. Probably sentinal. Started a run of that just in two, never finished it, so we'll see how it goes. Hmm, which additional weapon to train...Then there's always the possibility of actually implimenting a spawn system into my master peice map in Forge in Reach, should have done that ages ago. Also, finals to study for.

TLDR: I have crap to do

TBH, one of the greatest things I see in BRINK, are the luxurious red dot sights. They are so visually discrete, they up next to no screen real estate, leaving you as much of your field of view to manage your attack as possible.
I guess what I'm saying, is the advertising isn't hyping me up, the actual game is.

I got burned with Modern Warfare 2, I really wanted it to be good, I poured over videos, pictures, any scrap of info I could get, all the while pushing the voice away in the back of my mind that said it was actually shaping up to be a poor game. When it came out I spent 16 out of the first 24 hours on it and realised it was actually a shockingly poor game in my opinion. Now I just don't hype a game up, I disbelieve any hype generated by gaming media who sing the praises of games like Call of Duty and don't do justice the the genuine quality titles out there. Now I just look at what a game has to offer, watch videos, read previews and if it appeals I will try it, more so if it is doing something bold and original, then make my own mind up about it. I'm pretty excited by what Brink is bringing to the table, so fingers crossed.

I have cautious optimism, but enough optimism in that caution in this case to warrant a pre-order.

Same here buddy. ^_^

Mortal kombat :toughninja: . I detest halo games I was always more of a Socom guy. I was very very pleased with TESIV:Oblivion. I came to it after playing crapy JRPGs after JRPG on the PS2. Oblivion was the game that made me believe in next gen games. I got a 360 with oblivion in 06 and I was hooked best game I have ever played. It made up for having spent 800$ on my PS3 and only one of the games launch titles being any good. If it was not for uncharted 2 I still would hold a grudge with Sony. Still think its [censored] that it took so long for twisted metal and a good Socom to come out.

I'm re watching a few videos but that's cause I'm a little bit ADHD and I can stand to see the same thing more than once cause I may notice something new or whatever

Other than that I'm mostly crawling the Forums and since that storm over the weekend put my school district on temporary "vacation" and reading mostly "What kind of character will you have?" and "Anyone else worried about "" kind of posts just trying to keep my time occupied.
