I use a Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone running Android 5.0 (does kernel version or anything else help?). I had several bugs persist after the 1.1.??? build automatically updated to 1.2, so when a friend told me 1.2.1 added a Halloween theme but automatic was late, I backed-up my saves to the cloud and manually uninstalled and reinstalled.
The 2D overlay graphics (the stuff that is mostly in green, like the resource & health bars that is on top of the 3D-perspective Vault rooms and Dwellers) occasionally mess up in several different ways:
1) When opening the Pip-Boy, the animation of the 5 icons get stuck and overlap each other at the bottom of the rectangle instead of spreading out to their proper places. Tapping on the Pip-Boy again to close and reopen the menu usually resolves it, but I sometimes need to repeat the procedure or restart the app.
2) The icon in the upper right corner sometimes doesn't clear and remains under the current icon. This seems to happen more frequently with the up-arrow being erroniuosly visable under the hammer or X.
3) After an incident the health bars of a couple Dwellers continue to show, obscuring their first name. It usually goes away after a while, but quitting to the main menu seems to be the only reliable way to resolve it promptly.
4) When trying to view the explorer window, room upgrade window, or Dweller detail window, all overlay graphics occasionally disappear and pop-up window doesn't render! My device's back button and retrying is usually the quickest remedy, but taping on something else usualy works.
5) (This may be better addressed as a seperate issue, but...) During an incident, the Dwellers run around and frequently bunch up together… health bars frequently overlapping then disapearing while moving, making it extremely difficult to select a specific individual and apply a Stim-Pack promptly. The clipboard pop-up menu doesn't even update the Dweller's status in real time to make selecting an uninjured replacement a simple alternative to using Stim-Packs prematurely!
