[Relz] Overlooked Meshes Galore - OMG

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 1:32 am

So did you tell the rest of the TR team? I'm sure they could use some of these meshes to good use. :)

A bunch of these (most i think) are already referenced in OoT and used in the maps :)

Try looking for the platform in Ald-Rhun.

sieboldii

Yes these platforms and walkways were the early design for the walkways Under Skar in Ald-Ruhn. They were not use though, and are slightly different then the ones included in the game.

Cool! That'll definitely be included in one of the Telvanni towns in MADW (not new ones, awesomized original ones). As well as a lot of these meshes, they look like they could be spread around the landscape somehow.

UPDATE!!!

I was looking through the Velothi meshes today and I stumbled across some new ones to add to this collection of overlooked meshes. There aren't a bunch of new ones.

  • A new closed canton mesh. There are no staiways or openings on it. AND there are a lot of exterior Vivec meshes which match it's strange texturing, I have included all of those as well.
  • There was a pole mesh which had a strange "stain" mesh/texture alpha'ed to go down the tower edges. It could work well to make a dirty looking city I suppose.

The http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22263 and http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7217 downloads have both been updated, take your pick!

Enjoy the new version! I'm always finding exciting new meshes to add to this!! So stay tuned :)

Your welome :)

btw, I am not sure how useful the open canton will be, simply because of the way it is set up. It will only accept one texture type because of the UV mapping and the mesh set up (it's all one mesh).

But if anyone finds a use... then it was worth releasing!

Big Update

While I was working on my Attribution's Share mod. I stumbled across some new Hlaalu window meshes. So I decided to give the BSA another run-through for meshes. I was surprised to find a whole slew of meshes I missed the first time around. Check these out, believe me!

http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/commonmixedroofs.jpg (is that cool or what!!!! Why it wasn't included, I don't know...)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/banner.jpg (simple, but I couldn't find it in the CS)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaalubalcony.jpg (get making those new houses now :))
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaalubridge1.jpg (there is at least one more of these included as well)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaalubridgecurve.jpg (now that could come in handy)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaalusteps1.jpg (these could be retextured into almost any tileset, and there is a mirrored version of this one as well...)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaalusteps.jpg (could add some variety I suppose)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaaluwidegate.jpg
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaaluwin1.jpg http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/hlaaluwin2.jpg (UV on these could use a little work)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/invertedhouse.jpg (this is simply a mirrored version of a house already in the game, it just wasn't included in the CS)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/strongholddoor.jpg (this door mesh may have other uses I suppose)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/velothidome.jpg (I was surprised to find this one. I had to redo all the textures on it, but I think it turned out well)
http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/vivecHFpiece.jpg (this is just one of those pillar things on the High Fane, separated from the rest of the mesh)

Keep in mind that these are not all of the new meshes included in this update. There were a few others, such as boulders and meshes which were too similar to add a screenie of.

Hope you guys can put these to good use, I know I am going to be trying to use'em!

Enjoy,

-Melchior

God, how much unused meshes are there? Couldn?t believe that there were still some left, after all the meshes you already "released". :goodjob:

Most of these new meshes really surprised me, that was one that really surprised me!

That's OK you don't mod :) if you ever get into it, I would suggest starting with something small. Such as a shop or house, try implementing dialogue on your NPC or something.

That reminds me of my first attempt at releasing a mod. That was before I was known as Melchior Dahrk.... PES told me 'no more cheat mods allowed' :cold:. Later, I realized just how crappy the shop really was and I was a little less hurt by the cool remarks.

Honestly, I really didn't think there were this many left either... go figure :)

BUMP : I haven't touched this in a while. But I know there are a few meshes I have overlooked myself :D

Anyone care to remind me of what I've missed? I'd like this to be more exhaustive. Plus I'm bumping this so it doesn't get lost in the threads of time.

Hey thanks for this, I have always used this with my mods.
It's much easier than digging out those lost meshes myself.

Though I didn't realize there were some you had missed.

Way back when i actually messed around with the CS I recall seeing a few architectural pieces that I think weren't used. This was years ago last i seen them so I don't know how accurate my description may or may not be. I recall them being possibly similar to Vivec/Velothi type architecture except the textures were white and looked a bit more ornate. I could be wrong about the style but I seem to recall stumbling upon them while messing around with the city of Vivec. Perhaps you have seen them?

Anyway, this is a nice collection. Bethesda really left a bunch of junk just lying around unused.
