overlooking important clues, notes, and other information

I am often in the midst of intense gaming experience and don't have the time to read the note that flashes on the upper left of the screen. Note include new locations identified on the map, new items added, new data files added to the Pip-boy, status changes, etc. Then, days later, I discover these items and have no idea where I got them.

I think it would be very helpful if every time a player "sleeps", the information received in this manner is reviewed. It would be similar to real-world experience where one wakes, perhaps has a cup of coffee, and reflects upon what happend yesterday and what to do today.

It would be slightly unnecessary and kinda annoying if that happened everytime you slept.....

Hmmm... well, it wouldn't have to be annoying. I'd think that a script could be included that would automatically check for any new info as well as whether or not the PC has read/accessed it since the last time the PC slept. For example, notes are highlighted in the PipBoy until after it is opened and they are read, so a check like this is already included, but not used as the OP suggests. I'd think it could be used in such a way, though. If nothing new was added or everything had already been accessed by the PC, the check would simply continue with the game and the player would never be interrupted.
