For those of you that speak two or more languages, have you ever seen a translation somewhere that is way over complicated? Sometimes here in California I'll see English translated into Tagalog, and it seems like whoever did the translation is incapable of just making a simple sentence instead of some some high level courthouse thesis paper level Tagalog. Hard for me because Tagalog is my second language. When my daughter was in school we would get school letters in Tagalog. My wife, who was born and raised in the Philippines would look at it in disgust and tell me that a lot of Filipinos would not understand it, and her English is perfect.

How about you people from other countries? Do you ever see translations from your language that make you wonder what the Hell were the translators thinking?
