Thought bfbc2 was 2009. Hmmm definately under rated then,

Black Ops should have taken it. Sure, it would be corny if COD takes it every year, but if the game deserves it, the game deserves it. Don't throw around awards to be fair and nice, throw them around to games that deserve it. As for GOTY, Black Ops > Red Dead

Alan Wake > Red Dead Redemption > Black Ops.

Overrated:
Black Ops
Mass Effect 2
Fable 3
Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Underrated:
The Force Unleashed 2
Tron: Evolution

Red Dead Redemption
Fable 3
Cataclysm (not as game changing as I thought it would be)

Underrated:
FO: New Vegas
Divinity II (not sure if it was 2009 or 2010)

While I don't think Black Ops is the best game of all time, it deserves a lot of the praise it gets. The campaign was amazing, and although it was a bit short it was definatly the most fun I've ever had in a COD campaign. The multiplayer was pretty much the same as MW2 but still a blast to play. The wager matches and zombies are so much fun.

Underrated: Metro 2033. That game was just great, yet ignored by so many.
Overrated: Callof Duty: Black Ops, Mass Effect 2.

AH I forgot about that one.Certianly underrated, that game was flat out amazing.

I can't believe people are saying RDR is overrated, it got GOTY for a reason..

It's not that Red Dead Redemption is completely overrated it's just the gameplay is horrible you always get killed in one hit.

I played through it once, never did any sidequests. The game was generic, flat, bleak, uninspired, and pretty much overall pointless.

GotY means nothing. They slap that on every title, when they release a bundle pack.

Exactly. And we all know the nice folks over at Spike would LOVE to have given it to Black Ops. <_<

Red Dead was/is a fun game with memorable characters and some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen in a while.

I wish they video game world would just agree to have 1 big official awards ceremony.They could still have all the other ones but there should be one that is accepted as the #1 awards show.

Red Dead Redemption (I liked the storyline but the gameplay was horrible).

I'd even accept Mario Galaxy 2 getting it over RDR, another underrated game. Mario Galaxy 2, that is a really fun game.
