Overseers Guardian vs. Righteous Authority

I've enjoyed a high agility pistol build with Righteous Authority sniper pistol mod.

But how does it compare to OG in terms of longevity? I mean, which can I invest in and use longer before moving to a better weapon? I always thought it was OG, but RA seems pretty sweet.

Laser weapons in general start losing their use after a while, even Righteous Authority. The Overseer's Guardian modified to use .308 rounds can deal a hefty amount of damage and can definitely be reliable for a majority of the game. Even by end game I found myself using it on occasion.

Overseer's Guardian with a .308 receiver is probably my favorite weapon in the game. Compared to Righteous Authority, there's not even much comparison to make in my opinion. Overseer's Guardian totally smokes it. Personally I didn't really find Righteous Authority to be that great of a gun though. The perk that it comes with isn't all that useful to me. Yeah...criticals do double damage. I already have a 6.3x sneak attack bonus and I'm pretty sure my criticals already do double damage.

Overseer's Guardian does more damage for every shot. Not just for criticals.

Okay. I'll stick with the rifleman, gun nut (military fatigues) build. I do recall massacring Vault 81 with ease after buying that gun.
