Hi guys!

This is my first post..
I came across this funny object in Vaul 92 Overseer's office. It's shape is of a typical brass key, but it's name is "Overseers Little Friend". When i pick it up, the game playes the Level Up -sound, but i get no level... Does anyone know what this is? I found it on the overseer's desk.. When i looked youtube for vault 92 gameplay, it's not there.. Also google won't find any discussion of this object.... Made me curious enough to register this forum!
I can make a video, if you guys have hard time believing me or whatever

Never heard of it. What can you do with it? Is it just an inventory item, or is it equippable? And leveling up? Are you modded? as in on PC?

I've never seen/heard of it...seems the fallout wiki hasn't either.

It would surely say something about it I'd imagine. Like big daddy said, are you modded?

Thats an odd one for sure ... I'd guess its somebody's attempt to fix getting into that room accessable by glitching in.
I suppose its possibly something added in by one of the patches , but most likely a fan mod.

Im just running the GOTY PC and didnt install any patches. Loading up vault 92 overseers area with the geck shows no keys in objects. But editing one of the many keys from Items/keys/clutter to what you found is certainly possible.

To find out if it does anything , Im sure could be done with the geck. But Im not familiar enough with it yet to find what sort of conditions it would satisfy.

Yup I ran into the same key I just figured it opened one of the safes or other locked items but I already picked everything & thought oh ****! I could've just used the key on everything I picked. Gud 2 know it's useless!
