Oversize swords and plastic looking textures

My sword is new, just out of the forge. Any problem with that?

I have a sword hanging on my wall on the other side of the room and it's no where near that shiny.

My cousins have toy swords made in China and from cheap plastic which looks like exactly like http://images.uesp.net//9/99/OB-items-Other_1H_Blades.jpg

It costed 3 € the set of two, bought it in a chinese store, and it's made in China. I'll leave the speculation of it's quality to you.

It was a joke.

Anyways, I would not expect, nor do I think, weapons should be that reflective in Skyrim. They're way too polished to look like they've seen any sort of use. I'd expect them to look weathered and worn.

well i own a hand crafted katana and the blade (when taken care of is near a mirror finish) and i agree with the post about that mod for oblivion but only because the handle was ridiculous polished

I agree, worn but while still looking as sharp, useful weapons, not like cheap toys :)

If anything, the sword I showed at least gives the impression of sharpness (I KNOW that there are dull swords which are about as shiny and nicely done, but at least it's easier to suspend your disbelief with such swords. At least certainly for me).
