Overwriting another character's save file.

Has it ever happened to you?

After a session with my Redguard, I decided to load my female Nord for a change. When I was done, I saved... over his file.

My most recent character, which I had just completed all questlines with.

A pickaxe to the stomach wouldn't have hurt as much. Skyrim is a very time consuming game, starting a character again isn't something you can do without batting an eye.

Not to mention that I've been playing it for over an year just like most people here. It isn't a fresh experience. Still enjoyable, but a tired one. The idea of starting over is far from appealing, or easy.

The easiest way to avoid that in the future is to have multiple saves for each of your characters, which you should be maintaining anyway.

I have done the same thing, but I also learned to put important Saved Games someplace where they can not be erased from doing this.

The most time I have actually lost is two weeks of playing.

I don't know, the way I figure it, too many save files isn't a good thing.

But a spare one for each wouldn't hurt I guess.
