What difficulty are you playing on? Sonic gun doesn't do diddly for me.

I am in the middle of it on very hard/hardcoe mode and at level 30 and it is challanging but not frustrating since I am taking my time.

You just need to find the right weapons for the right enemies. No one weapon works against all enemies. The sonic emitter does well against the robots (at least incapacitating them for 5-7 seconds) but for me didn't affect cybordogs much or robot scorpions as well as the holorifle. The k9000 seems more like a gimmick weapon than a usefull one but maybe I'm not using it right.

I brought the survivalist rifle from HH and thank God for that...not the perfect weapon for all occasions but in most fights it helps a lot.

Im now a level 45 and Ive been playing since 10 am yesterday and I still havent completed it. I went in with over 300 stimpacks and Im all out. Im on life support and Im affraid I wont be able to beat it because my survival skill is low so food items do very little for me. And no, I refuse to change the difficulty from very hard to easy. May have to turn to chems for the first time. Stealthboys and the Gauss Rifle are what's kept me going without stims for the most part.

i can tell you one thing thats making it difficult: sometimes enemies will literally spawn right next to you.

Sneakin through an area, no enemies around, you do a "turn around and see if anyones on my tail" spin, all clear when all of a sudden

LOBOTOMITE WITH PROTON AXE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD
or my personal favorite
NIGHTSTALKERS OUT OF SWEAR-WORD NOWHERE

still, I'm enjoying it. Alot of us here wanted a rougher time in the game and boy did we get it

I'm about five hours in, mostly just exploring and shooting stuff and haven't died once yet.
I shoot lobos from yards away with my Gobi or sneak up on them and put an axe through their head, then dine and dash their corpses for a steady food supply. The cannibal perk is VERY usefull in OWB

I keep almost dying on easy and I'm on level 45 and practically wonderwoman. So yeah it's a good challenge. I was playing on normal for a while and it was too hard. :sadvaultboy:

I had a problem with waves of enemies constantly spawning on me, which makes up my one big gripe against this add-on. Put up a fight in the beginning but seven hours later, everything I had was out of ammo, my stimpaks were gone, my armor was broken, the Sink vendor wouldn't refresh... the sun was in my eyes. xD

Things got desperate, and I think I was level 42 when I loaded up OWBs.

I think level capping yourself at 30 might make the game easier. At level 45 the enemies were absolutely vicious to the point that I was having to use pretty much every kind of weapon I could get my hands on, all while popping chems like crazy. I don't know how much of a difference there will be between the enemies at level 30 and level 45 (You level up fast with that DLC), but I doubt that they're the same. Considering that you can be about as powerful at level 30 as you can at 45, I think that Logan's Loophole trait might actually make the game easier.

I've found it pretty hard. I think I've died atleast 10 times so far. I haven,t even gotten past the first main quest either. It's getting easier as I go along, but damn, sneak attack crits not insta killing = stupid.

More than likely you should stick to Normal or lower. Avoid Hard or Very Hard if your not looking for a challenge.

Did just finish on Very Hard with a Lv 1 charter though, was quite fun if your into challenges.

Enemies spawning around reminded me Dragon Age II. And it's really stupid.

Stealth suit being medium armor is stupid. And getting addict to med-x thanks to it is very stupid.

I got into with Holorifle, 600 MC MFC and 600 MC SEC. Holorifle is good on medium range, killing lobotomites and robots with 2-3 shots. But on close range... Laer is glass canon, have to use tons of repair kits. Sonics are not bad, but using max charge cells is bad idea - damage from EMP doesn't depend on ammo. 5-6 shots from brush gun or scorpion lasers is enough to kill high level char, so close combat is suicidal. Guess, it shoud be good idea to take Grenade MG for most enemies and lots of .357 HP to use K9000 vs cazadors and nightstalkers. Well, any high DPS weapon will work. Riot shotgun with Stay Back is fine too.

Nothing worse than a random spawning of 4+ Nightstalkers when you're already dealing with Robo Scorpions, Trauma Harnesses, and regular Lobodomites. I'm not sure what's going on with that. I walked in with about 260 stimpaks and walked out with about 130 at level 40 when I went it. A previous poster nailed it right on the head. They chip away slowly enough at you that you underestimate them. If you go in with a level 5 character I think you're going to have a hard time of it.

Robo scorps are no match for an Ion cannon.
