Owls

Post » Thu Jul 07, 2011 10:23 am

There is wildlife, but one animal which would fit in well in Skyrim is owls. I really want to see them in game, not just hear them. I can imagine that they would look good sitting in some mage's workshop too.

(I wouldn't mind seeing some falcons too. After all, hawking was a great medieval pasttime and would fit well in TES.)

Owls sitting in trees at night, with their spooky eyes peering at you.

Yes please.

Yes, sounds good. At least we know there are some birds visible in the trailer, so you never know.

Yeah, I think this would be cool. Hopefully they'll have more than just one type of bird, if not just 3-5 types.

Absolutely. Seeing one perched on a signpost outside a town by night, looking at you the way they do. Or gliding silently by above your head as you travel through a forest.

It's technically off topic, but I'm really hoping to see ravens in Skyrim as well.

It was the first bird that came to my mind, however it would probably break immersion for our dear RP'ers

What about something like a Phoenix then? You walk in a deep valley and see a red flare on top of a big mountain. You climb the steep mountainwalls in hope of finding a dragon, but instead you just find a golden, redlike hot feather and some small scorchmarks. Epic for a hunting quest or simply a rare, incredible ingredient of alchemy.
Wow, that would be super awesome...

Owls would be amazing and they would add to the sense of strangeness if walking through some woods and a ton of owls are just there, watch you. Also would be a nice mage familiar.

Start requesting different animals now, and maybe you'll see them in TESVI.
