Own slaves in Fallout:NV

Post » Tue Sep 21, 2010 5:31 am

How you interact with you slave should make them interact with you, for example, if you scare the living [censored] out of them, they are not likely to kill you, or if you push them to hard, and give them a gun they will. Also if you come off as a weakling then they may just run away or try to kill you. Or you can be nice, free them, and maybe they will stick around.

I like this idea, having Clover as a slave bodyguard was fun, and it would be cool to have more expanded options with slaves like using them as servants and such. I also agree that you should get to choose the slave you buy. :)

A slave would be cool to have. But I'd probably free him/her after the first 5 minutes.

id like the slave bodyguard to be generic so if she dies i can buy a new one id like at least one unique one but id like to have generic ones i had to reload every time clover died i had to protect her even though she was my slave bodyguard it seemed like i protected her more than she protected me

Ownning a slave... Well, we could do that in FO3, so why not here? Still, it would, as FALLOUTFTW suggests have to be a reward for siding with Caesars Legion. While I hope that we can capture slaves in the game, I doubt we'd be offered the opportuny to properly groom one or several of them into becoming bodyguards for us, so...

I would like to be able to buy generic NPC to be slaves. Would be best if they don't count as a follower.

I want a house full of slaves doing my bidding. Butler, cook, maid, and a trustee who gets a gun and gets to enforce my will while I'm away.

Yeah, I would really like slaves to be expanded upon. I bought the three children once before I knew about freeing them, and then they said "Thank you! You saved us!" Or something along those lines. I was like WTF? I bought you!

I would love the option to send my slave into combat and if he wins get money for it and if i feel like it I can set them free and based on my previous dealings and how I treated them they can either becoming a permanent companion, leave if I treated them badly, or if I treated them extra badly they could become a nemesis and try to hunt me down.

There should be slaves, however all of the repercussions also. I'm hopeful for the idea.

In real life i frown apon slavery but in fallout theres a difference, who thinks if you should own more than one slave unlike in fallout 3 for example instead of haveing one slave like clover in fallout 3 you can get more (leave your comments)

I like how you say you "frown apon them" just afunny way to say it :celebration:

I woudn't get one even if you could, unless i just buy them so i can set them free :goodjob:

No worry for the PC version. If the game doesn't include ownable slaves I am ready to port FNNCQ for New Vegas.

This is a great idea! it wold be interesting to have a slave trade in the game that you can actually be a part of, it would add a lot more depth and choice as to wether or not you help slaves, instead of just freeing them or capturing them and getting just a change in karma the player could get money or labor from capturing slaves and maybe allies for freeing them. Maybe there could even be a new faction that forms from freed slaves like the Temple of the Union, with you as their leader :D the possibilities are endless

I think we should be able to do repeated slave runs for the CL and some of the ones we bring back will be seen cleaning our house or something. If the are bigger slave missions in which we enslave important NPCs then yes those should be able to be used as a companion.
